Peaceful hotel on a lovely beach, brilliant view

Posted 27-Sep-2016
Pros: Peaceful, not a massive impersonal hotel, on a beautiful beach, big breakfast.
Cons: Not much really, we had everything we needed. As mentioned before, air conditioning ducts could be better positioned but it didn't affect our holiday
Location: On the beach, beach bar very near, children's playground also on the beach, bus stop 10 mins walk for other towns.
We stayed at the beautiful Uyal in mid September so the area was a little quieter as most children were back at school. The hotel is situated right across the promenade from the beach and has a lovely view across the bay. Hotel is very friendly, clean & comfortable with a nice terrace to enjoy the sun in the morning, and shade in the afternoon. Plentiful buffet breakfast with something for most tastes and a good dinner buffet if you don't want to walk into town - on that note it IS quite a walk (20 mins) along the promenade into the town centre for more restaurants, but there are a few restaurants near to the hotel. Our room was in the annex block which was quiet but with lovely views over the pool and bar area, plus views out to sea (& the villa in The Night Manager filming location). The pool area and bar have plenty of loungers and chairs to enjoy the views and it is a very short walk across the road to the beautiful beach. The sun loungers and parasols on the beach are a perfect place to enjoy the sun and there always seemed to be a nice gentle breeze to keep you cool. The sea is positively warm, sandy and shallow and was so lovely to swim in after a spell of sunbathing. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel & would return if we come back to Puerto Pollenca in future. Our only small problem was the air conditioning in the room pointed directly at the bed so was cold on our necks all night but we left comments on the exit questionnaire so may improve.

Best Place at Port Pollensa

Posted 17-Sep-2016
Pros: Location, staff, and cleanliness.
Cons: The food service needs some improvement, it seems that it is mostly designed for its English clients, something common in beach areas in Spain.
Location: The Pollensa Bay is beautiful and has not been destroyed by developers. From the Port you can take public transportation or local tours or rent a car
I had a very good experience at the Hotel as well as its location. Port Pollensa is one of the best areas left in Mallorca since the development of the beach areas has ruined so many. I will go back as soon as I can.

Cons: All was fine except for manager and staff on reception who were rather rude and miserable.
I chose this hotel as we've stayed here before. We were made to feel like second class citizens by the reception staff. Although we had paid extra for a sea view they said that as Expedia don't pay them as much as other tour companies we could not expect a balcony. They did give us a balcony but with a side view of the sea and in we could not use it as we were on the top floor and with temperatures of 33o it was red hot. They made us feel that we wouldn't book with Expedia again although your service had been fine.

Good value for your money

Nice speedy check in & welcome.Nice refurbished room with sea view. The half board was worth having and we enjoyed the sensible choices on the menu especially the paella. There was plenty of free & easy parking. The pool and surrounding area is quite small so we used the local beaches instead.

Fabulous stay.

Posted 16-Jul-2016 on Hotels
Fabulous hotel, across the road to the beach and a 20 minute walk to the main square. Lot of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Our room was front facing with a seaview, very comfortable and clean, although the walls were quite thin and noise from ajoinjng rooms did disturb us occasionally, but mostly due to the older clientele everything was quiet by midnight. The bar was a lovely place to eat lunch and come back to after an evening in the busier main area. We also enjoyed some of the entertainment provided in the bar most evenings.

When we first arrived at 10pm we were shown to our rooms which had the windows firmly shut covered in polythene due to building work outside.dust everywhere and no natural light.we complained and it was dealt with quickly and efficiently and we were moved. Food in the restaurant was not too good but adequate. Otherwise apart from the mix up with yourselves over booking a balcony it was a good stay.
