Beautiful setting

Posted 13-May-2017
Pros: The situation, close to all amenities, the beach, for the price cannot be improved upon
Hotel situated very close to the beach with a salt water swimming pool built on a jetty jutting out into the sea. The staff were extremely helpful and obliging, breakfasts catered for all tastes with a wide selection of hot or cold, and the dining room was open for breakfast between 0730 and1030. The quality of the food was excellent, and fresh. The bedroom was spacious with ample wardrobe space but lacking shelving, there was a large en suite with ample supplies of hot water.

Beautiful location, excellent views at breakfast

Posted 17-Apr-2017
Pros: Pretty much everything!
Cons: A little more care with the cleaning of the traps in the of showers as our shower would not drain until we cleared it all ourselves.
Location: Perfect base for cycling around the northern area of the island. There is a locked garage to keep the bikes with tools and facilities for washing.
The location is just amazing, Puerto Pollensa is a beautiful place to stay and the hotel Daina is right in the middle of the pedestrian pine walk area. An amazing selection for buffet breakfast and you can eat on the balcony overlooking the marina, what a treat! The staff are very keen to please, the hotel has just undergone an refurbishment and looks fantastic.

Lovely hotel, could not be more convenient .

Posted 09-Apr-2017
Pros: Location, cleanliness, fabulous view from Dining room . Breakfast buffet excellent , so much choice. Dinner menu / buffet equally good. Staff superb !
Cons: Could not fault anything. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, reception, bar, dining room and housekeeping.
Location: Lovely walks, 5 mins. to bus stops; local buses cheap, clean and punctual. Close to shops, restaurants, Information office, pine walk. Close to beach.
Due to an unfortunate 'building problem', lack of water; we were offered alternative accommodation , other hotel or apartment ( all part of the Hoposa group). We opted for an apartment , 2 mins. walk to Hotel Daina, absolutely superb. Staff could not have been better, so helpful.

Nice hotel with excellent location

Posted 25-Oct-2016
Location: The hotel was in the middle of the 'Pine Walk' area which overlooked the bay and restaurants and bars along the walk. The market square is close by too
We stayed in a side sea view room on 4th floor. The room wasn't big but was adequate with modern furnishings and a balcony. It could be noisy from time to time with the service vehicles passing by but it probably only happened to the rooms at the side. The bathroom was spacious with hair dryer and other amenities but without an extractor fan. Although we didn't use the swimming pool, we were to take pictures as it offered a lovely view of the bay. The breakfast buffet was lovely with so much to choose from and I particularly loved the quality of their fresh fruits and choice of veg. The hotel had evening performance in the bar area - classic Spanish guitar and it was magical!

Old-established hotel, close to the beach

Posted 18-Oct-2016
Pros: Location; slightly 'old-fashioned' feel to the traditional bedroom doors, combined with modern facilities otherwise.
Cons: Lifts probably need upgrading
Location: Location - close to beach and promenade. Town centre location. More importantly, close to some very important nature reserves and bird-watching sites
I went there because Port Pollensa is a convenient centre for bird-watching, my main purpose in going. The hotel was picked on a combination of facilities. location, and value. Overall the stay in the hotel was very pleasant. The staff (especially Reception staff) were very friendly abd helpful. The buffet style meals were good, with a good range of choices.
