Good all roud Hotel

Posted 09-Jun-2017
Pros: Hotel is excellent for families with young children with plenty to do during the day and quiet at night. It caterers for all types .
Location: Location perfect, in a quiet residential area, but near the beach, shops and restaurants
We booked the hotel in September 2016, a party of 4 adults and 3 children, 9, 7 & 2. requesting 2 rooms near to each other. Arrived about 12.00am on the 31 May 2017 & was allocated room 121 & 123 which we thought would be near each other, but NO romm121 was in 1 block and room 123 in another adjacent block and of course the hotel was fully so no chance of a move. I would have thought it possible to given the length of time between booking and arriving to arrange rooms closer together (see Photo). On the positive side when the A/c broke and the door would not unlock the repairs were swift, within a hour, however the first time we used the bathroom sink we found the it would not empty and had to waiting nearly 48 hours for a new plug. All this however did not stop us from enjoying the rest of our stay. the food at breakfast and Dinner was varied and plentiful. The staff all were very efficient friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned and towels replaced daily. The hotel and pool area are spotless. For the more sporty there is a well equipped gym and bike hire shop, together with a full length training pool. In summary I would recommend this hotel and will be booking again soon.

excellent sports facilities

Posted 29-May-2017
Pros: bike storage facilities are excellent. Large rooms with good kitchen facilities.
Cons: don't have a bouncy castle.
Location: near the sea and good access to some great mountain climbs on the bike.
great place to stay for a cycling / triathlon holiday. Only minor issue was the bouncy castle that was set up by the pool which created unnecessary noise for very little benefit.

Pros: staff very helpful
Cons: cant think of anything
Porto Pollensa is a piece of paradise on earth. This hotel is in a quiet street only five minutes from the beach and we enjoyed our stay very much. Couldn't fault it in any way.

Great hotel for families too

Posted 12-May-2017
This was our 4th visit and we plan to go back! The hotel is small and therefore a bit quieter but suits us with 2 children. The pools are great for them. We were very impressed with the refurbishment. Staff were so friendly. The location is a nice stroll down to the beach and along to the town.

A Sports Hotel

Posted 26-Apr-2017
Pros: Our fellow guests were mostly healthy athletes from UK and Western Europe and the absence of overweight revellers.
Cons: The bathroom plumbing
Location: Puerto Pollenca is a great location for cycling with a variety of safe routes, some flat, others rolling and above all good mountain climbs.
We stayed at the Villaconcha, Puerto Pollenca on a cycling training trip from April18th to 25th.. On half board, we found the food limited in variety, but properly prepared and presented. Our room was spacious and equipped for self catering with a sun in the afternoon balcony. The cycling facilities were good with secure cover for up to 180 bikes including tools, pumps and drinking water to fill bottles before rides. There was also a heated 25 m training pool for triathletes and leisure pools for children. On the plus side the weather was dry and warm for the 600 kilometers we cycled, on the downside, the hotel failed to solve the problem of an unpleasant smell emanating from somewhere in our bathroom. Overall, we liked the place and would be happy to stay there again.

Pros: It was clean and bright.
Cons: The pool was freezing cold can't be heated only went in twice and that was a struggle, sea definitely warmer. Quiet a few cats around.
Location: Close to the harbour town and plenty of restaurants and shops. Hire a car and go explore as plenty to see we didn't get to do it all.
The rooms were always lovely and clean, very modern. Staff were very welcoming in the bar.

Very clean hotel with excellent facilities

Posted 31-Oct-2016
The standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. The location meant that we could be on the sea front within 5 minutes. Food available for breakfast and dinner was of good standard, and catered well for vegetarians and the health-conscious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel, and are using this stay as our benchmark for future holidays.

Fabulous holiday destination!

Posted 28-Oct-2016
Pros: The hotel has been refurbished recently and was modern and well equipped. Facilities and location, particularly for cyclists were ideal. Our apartment had a kitchen and balcony area which gave us the option of preparing our own food and eating 'al fresco'. Pool area was clean and well laid out, tastefully landscaped with easy access to the bar/restaurant area. A particular bonus, as we were on a cycling holiday, was the way in which cyclists were catered for. A cycle hire shop is located adjacent to the reception area, as is a store room for bikes which housed lockers, bike racks, tools, water and washing/drying facilities. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - Freddie in the bike shop did a great job in sorting out our bikes for us.
Cons: Unfortunately, on occasions, there was a bad smell coming from the shower/sink/toilet. We were offered a change of room, but preferred the one we were in. We bought some bleach to use when required which, while not ideal, did seem to help. However, this would appear to be a problem in other rooms and needs to be addressed long-term.
Location: Located just off the water front, you are an easy walk from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Puerto Pollensa is a Mecca for cyclists!
