Except for unreliable Internet in room 303 where we stayed, all went well. Breakfast was amazing as they had both buffet style and could order off menu as well. Even allowed us a 7:30pm checkout with no extra fee since our flight did not leave until 10:30pm . Staff was very accommodating to our needs. Had deluxe room for family of 4 and was great value for the money, supermarkets other islands to experience resorts and all of the and shopping only a couple of minutes from the hotel. Easy access to the waterfront. Easy to get the other islands to enjoy the immenitites without paying high prices .
Very pleasantly surprised at end of our trip to the Maldives by the comfort of our room at the Beehive. The location was excellent for our needs--we walked from the Maafushi ferry and the beehive driver dropped us off for out ferry back to the airport. The staff helped us locate several areas where we had business and provided the hotel car-- for the normal small rate. There was no HOT water, just tepid, but this is typical throughout the region. The Internet connectivity was an issue. This will be my first choice to stay in Male again.
This is a modest reasonably priced hotel- with basic amenities, and very pleasant staff. It is functional-if you need a place en route or are travelling budget. It is located on an island off the capital city, Male. It requires you taking a ferry from the international airport to Male, and from Male to Vilingili. However- the hotel picks you up and drops you back to the airport for a fee. So-its stress free- just time consuming commuting to Vilingili. I liked staying away from Male - taking the ferry in- walking and exploring the tiny city, and heading back to the tranquil, weirdly suburban enclave of Vilingili. The beach on Vilingili is not particularly remarkable- though it had plenty of people enjoying its tranquil waters. but- you get marvellous views of Male, a relaxed feel, and the opportunity to just enjoy the ferry rides to the city. Not a place for people looking for pleasure at the hotel. More a journalist haunt- breakfast is basic, but satisfactory. Its clean, casual, more hostel in feel.
Not all the staff can speak English but they really try to understand and accommodate you the best they can. They are very friendly and kind to foreigners. They clean the rooms daily and do an excellent job.
