We planned this to be our trip of a lifetime and it certainly lived up to the hype. Rooms are beautiful and private. Amanullah took care of us, bringing us buckets of ice, restocking the mini bar, cleaning the room, and leaving sweet touches daily. The ocean is teeming with life just steps from the door. We took several excursions to fish annd see whale sharks, both hugely successful, and snorkeled for hours along the house reef around the atoll. Food was impeccable and had a large variety. Hospitality everywhere-from food service to reception to spa staff-was incredible. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. Highly highly recommend.

We would just like to say a whole hearted thank you to all the team at Centara Grand for making our stay the most magical and memorable! This was our second visit after being there 8 years ago - we were so excited to return to our favourite place! The level of service was just as amazing as the first time and they were so accommodating in every way. A special shout out to Nabeel who made sure our stay was a smooth and enjoyable as possible and was always on hand with any queries we had. Islam our room cleaner also did a fantastic job and was extremely friendly. We got engaged the second night of our stay with a fantastic beach dinner and now we have memories for life. We can't wait to return in the not so distant future! Thanks so much again!

We had an amazing time at Centara Grand. The place is absolutely beautiful and the snorkeling straight out of the water villas is amazing. Food is super nice as well and the buffet restaurant was always varied so it never felt samey. All the staff was super friendly but we would like to thank in special Monir who would do our room and every day would leave a beautiful drawing made with sand or other natural materials on our villa floor.

Our stay at the Centara Grand was for our honeymoon and it couldn’t have went any better. From the staff, to waking up with the beautiful ocean view, we will cherish our memories. In our Deluxe Ocean view villa, we were left with beautiful surprises from Afsal in our room. He was a great help and always was available if we needed something. We dined often at the Azzuri Mare restaurant and the staff there was amazing. Sunny and chef Justin were so kind and made sure the food was exactly how we wanted it. We also had Tepenyaki one night and it was a great experience. The chef made it an entertaining experience for all those who ate there. The Reef restaurant had a plethora of food from different cuisines so there was something for everybody to enjoy. We really enjoyed trying other dishes! The staff even set up the Dreams cinema for myself and wife since we were not able to make the cinema night, and wow what a night to remember. I highly recommend staying at the Centara Grand resort for anybody looking to visit the Maldives and hope to return shortly!

This is my second stay at Centara Grand and it was infinitely better than my first. The majority of the staff remembered me and treated me well. I was pleased with everything at Centara Geand! Mr. Hassan at Best Dives is the primary reason for my second visit. He has amazing patience and delivers superlative customer service.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing this place is. The property is stunning. I celebrated my 35th birthday here. The staff were truly exceptional. June, Senthil, Sathish, Habib, Shimol are just a few of the names that I can remember. The lady who runs the Thai restaurant, the front desk staff, the chef of the Thai restaurant and our room attendant also exceeded our expectations at every turn. The food was amazing. We snorkeled, took a Thai cooking class, took a mixology class, went fishing, dolphin cruised, had a wild and whacky experience on the fun toy, spent 2 days at the spa, and had a special lobster dinner. Everyone seemed happy and like they were dedicated to making our trip amazing. There are other things that really made this place a gem. Their commitment to sustainability was pronounced and as the climate changes, I felt proud to be at a place that makes this a priority. The meet and greet at the airport also made for a smooth travel experience. I highly recommend staying Centara Grand.

Me and my husband came here for our honeymoon, first time visiting Maldives and it was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. We will definitely be coming back again. Although we had some difficulties getting to our resort due to flight delays Anurag the reservation manager helped us out so much and made sure we got our full 7 night stay since we got their 2 days late. We were very grateful and blessed for him. Sunny the waiter at azzuri was so kind and sweet and me and my husband really bonded with him throughout our visit, Habib from the buffet and the chef that always made our eggs the way we like them were also very kind hearted and really everyone was great! Our room was absolutely beautiful, I wanted an over water villa with pool and I got one and I was satisfied. Food was delicious a little different then what me and husband are use to since we are from Texas but we expanded our taste buds. I will say I wish they had more restaurants because by day 5 we were pretty much tired of eating the same thing. The seaplane for me was not that great because I was very nauseous and hot since there’s no air conditioning but we managed. Thank you to everyone at Centara Resort for making it an amazing experience for us!!

remote, yet gorgeous and quiet island. What a beauty. Staff are from various Asian countries and all very nice. rebottled water is a problem for us, we had diarrhea the first night. there were no bottled waters at the island hotel, so we had to boil the water in our room to work around the water quality issue.

We would like to personally assure you that our guest's health, safety and wellbeing is our utmost priority and we have taken the necessary steps including following all the mandatory guidelines and safety protocols set by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and the Government of Maldives.We have checked with our Front Office team that you had communicated with, and sadly we did not find any records of developed symptom, or any illness reported to the resort Doctor. Hence, a proper investigation could have been initiated during your stay. Should our team had been notified earlier regarding the severity of your condition, we would have offered further medical assistance and/or laboratory testing immediately. We would like to clarify that our water safety monitoring and water bottle disinfection process was maintained as per the standards, records were available and verified. Our external monthly analysis report did not indicate presence of any pathogens in the drinking water. A large volume of water bottles were distributed to different outlets and villas within that period and if the suspected source was the bottled drinking water, the outbreak would have been massive considering the occupancy and water consumption at that time. We do however sincerely hope that you have since fully recovered from this ordeal and that this matter has not too severely overshadowed your time with us.We appreciate your feedback and certainly hope that the above concerns communicated will not deter from your future stays with us. In addition, hopefully it clears the points for future guests who is considering visiting our lovely island resort and team.On another note, we also would like to thank you for highlighting the pristine beauty of our island and the kind hospitality extended by our team members.On behalf of all of our colleagues on the island, we would like to wish you and your loved ones a healthy and safe year ahead. Great stay for 2 nights. It did give me an eye-opening experience after I've been with so many resorts/hotels. The Family Overwater Villa is perfect, especially good for snorkeling with not only all kinds of fishes but also sea turtle and small tame sharks. Also, the receptionist Ms. Chanataphy (I could only remember the first few letters correctly) was very helpful, assisting us to take care of Covid testing, sunset fishing booking, and other time-senstitive stuffs for our short stay. If anything to improve, I'd say the online communication through email and their app can be more responsive. Overall, it's worth 9.4/10 rating!

The best thing living in the water villa is that the ocean is just a staircase away. 1, 2, 3, and there is the coral reef. Whole island is surrounded by corals of different colours. The water is not so deep but just as clear as possible to let you see all the living creatures. I was lucky to meet a giant turtle twice in front of my villa. And if you are still looking for something more exciting, join the excursions! The must-joins are whale sharks, colour sea turtles and reef mantas tours. We took 1.5 hours boat trip, and I was lucky enough to see the first two, thanks to the fabulously helpful coach @Choppi and @Saafai. Special thanks to Choppi for helping my mum in swimming and getting her squeezed in to see all the animals. @Sathish makes the best cocktail, including something warm to fill my Chinese stomach. @Sojib, @Green and @Santa at the Reef Restaurant also make a family trip completely worthy.

It has various activities and the Thai dining was excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves except for the high price of the activities such as semi-submarine and parasailing, etc I supposed it's the same in every part of Maldives. One area to highlight would be that staff can be more proactive and lookout for guests who do not put on their mask when they help themselves to the buffet. A staff should be on a lookout for such incidents. Overall it was one of our best trips ever. Will definitely be back again. Great job to the GM of Centara Grand and her excellent team!

My wife and I celebrated 10 years of marriage by flying out to the Maldives! Our stay at the Centara Grand was perfect, the staff were friendly and the quality of food was out of this world but nothing beats the views and amazing clear blue sea water and white sandy beach! This was a dream destination and a holiday that we will never forget! We wish we could've stayed longer. Special thanks to Asim who welcomed us from the Seaplane and made sure we were fine throughout our stay at the resort.

We had the most wonderful stay here. Scenery was stunning and so relaxing. There was plenty to do if you want to but also absolutely fine just to chil in one of the many beautiful spots around the island. The crab racing is great fun. We also went to learn couples massage at the spa and my husband had a go at scuba diving. Staff were fantastic. Particularly Norbelyn who makes the most wonderful desserts, and we loved chatting to Happy in the restaurant. Also the guys in The Club made our last night super special. We can’t thank them all enough.

A very wonderful experience. Fantastic atmosphere, great facility, excellent care, and the staff were very accommodating of every request. The natural environment was well cared for and protected. The over the water room with the pool was delightful and private - worth every Penny. We would also like to highlight the following staff for the superb service: Amanilla for the very attentive room cleaning and care; Jonathan as a very kind and funny wait staff at The Reef restaurant; The Doctor at the medical clinic graciously doing all of the PCR tests; And Patis and Pan who provided the best massage experience we have ever had!

We always try our utmost to ensure guests leave happy, even when some concerns are shared during the stay, we try to correct them during the stay and more so ahead of the departure. We were kept in the loop of all the issues you raised during your stay, and we had shared the same at the time with all our concerned managers. We can say that the team certainly tried their level best to please you following a detailed review of your stay, documentation and interviews with the various team and management members you interacted with. Your review was discussed again in our management meeting as per our normal practice so that all is aware of the points raised and that we may correct any possible shortfalls. We would like to personally assure you that our guest's health, safety and wellbeing especially during this Covid-19 pandemic is our utmost priority and we have taken the necessary steps including following the mandatory safety protocols set by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and the Government of Maldives, in dealing with any potential Covid-19 cases.
