Hotel needs TLC and is under major renovation

Posted 07-Feb-2016
Nice large room with comfortable bed. Nice sea view. But room carpet was very dirty and room smelled badly of cigarette smoke even though it was for no smoking. Noisy outside at night because of gangs hanging out by the stair-walkway located next to hotel and leads from the beach to the top at the city. Noisy in the morning as the hotel is going through major renovations.

Beach lovers hotel

Posted 07-Jan-2016
Pros: Proximity to the beach.
Cons: A/C or fan option be available. Water dispenser be available for hot/cold water rather than charging for hot water.
Location: Beach is the main attraction here. Bus/Train access from the main shopping area of Torremolinos is available but requires a 15 min uphill walk.
This hotel is pretty close to the beach and that is the main reason for someone to pick this hotel.Although this is little far from the main shopping area of Torremolinos (about 15 mins uphill walk), the tour providers(Julia travel) does pick up/drop from this hotel. About the hotel now.. This is a little laid back hotel targeted for Business travellers and R &R types. For folks doing the touristy stuff, I would choose some hotel in Malaga and not in Torremolinos or even Marbella. A/C is not available during the winter months although some days it could get humid considering we ended up in the top-floor which was little warmer. A portable/standing fan is not available either. The room is quite basic (although the view of the beach are pretty good) and does not have water fountain/drinking hot water anywhere else other than in the cafe.

ビーチに近い良いホテル

Posted 02-Jan-2016
Pros:

A Hotel to Come Back to.

Posted 01-Jan-2016
Pros: The layout of the whole establishment, and overall there was an ambience of "glad to have you here".
Cons: There is a nearby lift to the upper town level (about 250 feet above sea level), apparently provided by the hotel. Would be great if available winter.
Location: Torremolinas is no cultural high, but it brings pleasure to many. Its 2 lengthy beaches are attractive, many restaurants. Sunshine forgives many sins
My second visit in 2015, seven days at Christmas. Melia spoils you for other hotels in future. In brief: the friendly staff everywhere, the excellent food in great variety, the quality of the evening entertainment, and the amenities (e.g. spa, gym, swimming pool, 24-hour reception desk), and the beach-front setting.

A little run down but a nice location

Posted 01-Jan-2016
Like the rest of the area, the hotel is a bit run down. Though the furniture and decor was dated and worn I thoroughly enjoy the junior suite. It had a huge deck/patio facing the water. I was on the second floor, a higher floor would be more dramatic. The room was big with a sitting room, large bedroom, bar area and bathroom. The bed was two singles pushed together. Everything was clean, the pool looked nice and it was great being right on the beach. Walk up the hill behind the hotels to find great bars and restaurants. Hotel is only minutes from the airport. I was here in late December, must be fun in the summer.

Lovely staff , great location , beds uncomfortable

Posted 29-Dec-2015
Pros: Staff, food choice
Cons: Comfort of mattress , pillows and noise from kitchen
Location: Great location near beach and bars and old town although lift not working we walked up and this was not to bad
This hotel needs a bit of a refresh , staff were great and food options at both breakfast and dinner were fantastic . The hotel is very well located . Notice from the kitchen below our room 310 late in evening and early morning was annoying . The downfall was the mattresses on the bed very hard and only one pillow each glad we only had 4 nights there due to this otherwise a lovely stay .
