This has to be one of Benhavis secrets . It’s a boutique hotel… superb atmosphere, amazing staff … love every minute there . Great call out to Margo … excellent support during the stay .

The hotel and the property in general are very nice. We had a problem with a leaking toilet, reported it and they told us it was fixed but it wasn’t. Not environmentally friendly to be wasting all that water.

Fantastic location with loads of restaurants within walking distance. Hotel restaurant itself was superb. Loved our quirky room and decor throughout the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful too

Lovely village and the hotel has loads of character which we loved. We enjoyed sunbathing on the roof terrace .The lady on reception was very helpful and spoke excellent English. Hotel right in centre of village so very easy to get to the restaurants in Benhavis (several to Choose from ) .Also we did a couple of walks from Benahavis- one very hilly ! .

Quirky hotel in the centre so close to all restaurants. Staff were lovely, Margo was very friendly and served a fab breakfast with plenty of choice and hot coffee.

Hotel was a lovely base to explore Benahavis and the surrounding areas. Hotel owner and staff were exremely helpful and informative and a credit to this very unique hotel. Rooms were fabulously individual. We recommend the Sultans suite. Restaurants in area were all very good but Hotel restaurant was our favourite.

Never 4 star. Quirky yes but dark, stone staircase with no proper handrail to our room was hairy to say the least. The room seemed to be an old cellar converted. Raised bath difficult to get in and out of. Door opens so close to the loo you catch your foot each time its used.Air con so loud it had to be switched off. Sun loungers on the terrace badly in need of replacing. Hotel has lovely ideas but in need of a refurb. Tired.

Restful overnight stay in a welcoming environment
We were welcomed most warmly to this eclectic arrangement of rooms and restaurant. We ate very well in the restaurant with its interesting, reasonably priced menu and benefited from attentive service, then passed a peaceful night in a spacious room with large bathroom. Parking was on the road at some distance from the hotel which made for a strenuous task in bringing our suitcases up a steep incline. While Benahavis is quiet with numerous restaurants and a good atmosphere, there is very little to see or do apart from relax in rural surroundings and enjoy good food and wine.

Comfortable and welcoming hotel
This small comfortable and welcoming hotel has been our spring destination for three consecutive years. A convenient location away from the coast, but with easy car drive to the coast and golf courses. We particularly enjoy the hotel breakfasts, the personal attention and the abundance of restaurants within walking distance in Benahavis. Our only anxiety is the reliable supply of generous hot water, particularly first thing in the morning.

Beautuful quirky hotel in pretty village
This was our 2nd visit to the hotel which we found by chance when visiting benhavis. It is beautiful, traditional and quirky. Absolutely gorgeous rooms. The breakfast was delicious;, all homemade fresh and made to order. We didnt have dinner on this visit as the restaurant was closed but had dinner on our previous visit which was amazing. The lady who runs the hotel is welcoming, pleasant, very helpful and made our visit a lovely experience. We will recommend it to friends and we will be back again. Keep doing what you are doing as it works.

Lovely boutique hotel
Have stayed many times before, and to be honest this wasn't the best stay we've had, they were renovating some of the hotel and although we were supposedly given a quiet room, it was still fairly noisy, but overall it's a good hotel

Quirky Spanish village hotel for an ideal break
Benahavis village is renowned for its restaurants and as ever it lived up to expectations. We also ate at the Amanhavis Hotel on our last night and the service and food was excellent. The private sunbathing areas were great suntraps, the local pottery on sale within the hotel added an authenticity and the location to the village was brilliant.

Nice hotel/restaurant and quiet place.
We arrived on the evening and I feel a very good smelling coming from the kitchen and the dishes seems to be very tasteful, but unfortunately we had place only for the cocktail and the desert. Next time we will definitively take the diner there . The evening atmosphere on the restaurant was very nice and we liked the owner cocktail and the deserts. We also appreciated Margot breakfast and his service own the morning. Attentionate kind and discret.

A little slice of heaven
Amazing hotel hidden away, gorgeous courtyard and the most gracious hosts. Stayed in the astronomers suite and was blown away by the huge skylight above the bed affording views of all the stars. Will definitely be going back and recommending to anyone who will listen!

Benahavis is very quiet and relaxing but the views are spectacular. The main theme for us was food. Plenty of places to chose from, none better than our hotel which was exceptional.

Charming hotel for a charming town
This hotel is a beautiful, charming hotel nestled into the downtown village of Benahavis. So much detail and love was put into the decor and ambiance of the rooms and hotel entrance. All the rooms are accessible through an open courtyard that centers around a small, sailboat-shaped pool. The room itself was a bit dark for lighting, but it added to the ambiance. If you want peace and quiet, and to escape from the world, this hotel is a good idea. That said, a word of necessary caution: the town is a series of steep and narrow roadways, and the hotel itself is almost hidden in the downtown area. There is no parking garage for the hotel, and it is situated at the top of a steep hill, so carrying luggage is challenging. Driving-wise, this town is not for the faint of heart! The roads are narrow and steep and often one-way depending on the time of day. The town is also a bit of a journey from the beach and main Marbella/Puerto Banus attractions, also requiring driving through many winding mountain roads. Having a car is a must, or plan on spending a lot of money on cabs. Local restaurants are terrific, however, and the town has a great energy at night.

A pleasant stay in a pretty, friendly hotel
The hotel is very well located with respect to Benahavis; surrounded by restaurants and other amenities. Check-in was very smooth and the very pleasant lady on reception could not help enough, relaying all the relevant information. We were told that each room was themed; ours being the Columbus room. This was impeccable with no expense spared on decoration with maps/globes, etc. All the facilities worked including the AC which was critical. The only minor criticism of the room is that there was port hole which lets in a lot of light in the morning. The pictures do not quite do the hotel justice as the building is very beautiful, old and well-maintained. The pool is good to cool down and clean but don't expect much swimming due to the size! The surrounding terrace is in fitting with the rest of the hotel and very pretty, nice for a drink or a meal. Overall we were very happy with our stay and felt well looked after.

Quaint little hotel, perfect for a romantic and relaxing stay. Right in the middle of Benahavis and next to all the great restaurants that this town is well known for. Service and in-house dining experience were excellent.

Lovely quirky Moorish style hotel.
It was our first time in Benahavis. The village itself seems to be a popular place for "ex pats" living around Marbella. The hotel is just off the main street but there's not much traffic.

I know this hotel quite well having stayed there a few times. The husband and wife team who run it are truly determined to give great service at all times. One if the best experiences I have had and I cannot recommend the Hotel Amanhavis too highly for those looking for a delightful stay in Southern Spain.

Excellent Family run hotel
We stayed 3 nights and will come back again, as we were down for a wedding the only evening we had free was Sunday and were disappointed that they did not serve food that evening, as we had heard very good reviews but I can certainly recommend the breakfasts. As the hotel was small it was a far more personal experience.

A moorish jewel in a hillside village
A delightful 6 day break to attend a friends wedding. Could not have asked for a nicer hotel. Quirky and small only 9 rooms but all themed and individually decorated, we stayed in the. Philosopher's Study. Outstanding service and attention to detail from all the staff and a superb restaurant, there are 32 restaurants in Benahavis but we ate in Amanhavis every night, utterly delicious food and an impressive wine list.
