"This hotel is not comparable to other options in Mauritius for the price - it is of much lower quality than the price and photos suggest. The level of attention to detail is poor. Rooms are not cleaned properly with hard to reach places gathering cobwebs, the bathrooms are old and tired, and there is a general lack of attention to detail throughout such as not having mosquito screens and not having the AC on for when you check in. The staff are nice but their initial reaction is always to say no to your request, before then attempting to accommodate you, a small point perhaps but when added together with the other factors you really start to notice it. You can find much better value for money elsewhere. Key point to note is that every night they have an extremely loud show/performance until late where you can hear the music no matter where you are in the hotel - this vibe will suit some people but others looking for a quiet time should avoid. All in all it reminded me of a premium hostel rather than a hotel, not what we were expecting for the price."

"Although it’s a bit far from the main tourist areas on the island, this was the most affordable option I could find with a decent rating. It’s conveniently close to the airport, which was a plus. The lady at reception was very kind and always tried her best to help, even though she didn’t speak English. Communication took a bit of time, but her effort was appreciated. The room was fine and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. One thing to note is that there’s no lift, so carrying large luggage upstairs can be challenging. Breakfast was decent, and the hotel is within walking distance of grocery stores and restaurants, which was very convenient."
