Would stay again!
I absolutely loved my time here. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The room was beautiful, the terraces and views were gorgeous, and the beach was idyllic. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Brace yourself for a bit of a climb though, as some of the rooms are up a somewhat steep hill with lovely tree lined paths. The location of the restaurants give the perfect view of the nearby island, Praslin. And the sound of waves crashing into to rocks in the beach below make for an out of this world dining experience. I was on a solo holiday, but I would absolutely stay here again with friends/family. This is definitely one of those ‘suitable for all’ hotels.

Blissful stay!
Bliss was overall wonderful! The staff was very nice and accommodating- always bringing what we needed to the room quickly. You can WhatsApp text them if you need anything. WiFi was fine. Breakfast was very good- omelettes or eggs made to order and fresh fruit and juices everyday. The bed was very comfortable. Our room was huge and there was plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We had a balcony within the jungle and got to watch the fruit bats early in the mornings and enjoy the tropical rains. The pool is small but nice. There’s a small walk up bar there and they play music during the day. They arranged our car rental for us at the hotel and parking was free onsite. We left the car there to be picked up but also option to drop and pay to park at airport. Cons: lots of stairs, if you’re not into that. They don’t provide water everyday. We walked to the store to buy it much cheaper than from the hotel. They do laundry there but it was a little pricey. There is pretty much no beach during high tide and very little beach during low tide. There are sooo many sea urchins out there and currents are strong so definitely recommend water shoes or not swimming. There was a little rock pool by the beach but can only use in low tides. It is not walkable to restaurants. We had a car rented, which is pretty much necessary because taxis are expensive. The rock pool restaurant was pricey and not that great- better restaurants in Beau Vallon 10 minute drive away.

Excellent location, beautiful private beach with a natural amazing pool. The hotel is very authentic, bringing the sea into every room and publuc spaces. Everything is well thought of, and the staff and management is welciming and professional. We spent time at both Bluss hotels, in Mahe and Praslin, both are amazing and most recommended!! We had a great time, and will come back!!

For the first half of the first day there was no eletricty which leads to no wifi, no food in restorant kinda starved. No in room phone so if u need some information you have to walk to reception. Not able to accomodate a request like a universal adaptor.

A very nice, modern hotel. Great facilities and absolutely stunning rooms! Breakfast was ok although a bit limited. Same goes for the buffet dinner which we didn’t find to be worth the price. The restaurant was nice and food was great. Pool area was wonderful and the hotel has a nice beach as well.

Lots of money for no service. The rooms are shown mostly from the beach house but then you land in a garden, across the busy street room running for your life each time you want to cross the road. A no go with smaller children. The service was ok but for that money it should have been awesome. We were declined to store the luggage even if it is advertised. As soon as I said we are not staying in that hotel after it was a clear "no" despite of the $1000 I have spent in the hotel. So wrong! Rude and disappointing. Our next hotel gladly took the luggage.

Our best snorkeling in Mahe ended up being right the one at the hotel's literally private beach. Very nice and welcoming staff, great restaurant, very spacious rooms. Only comment is that the wifi has issues all around other than the lobby itself, so everyone ends up gathering there for a great ocean view - and connectivity to the rest of the world. Since the reason we came to Seychelles was to disconnect a bit this did not end up as a real annoyance (we brought offline Netflix downloads so we had our self-entertainment at night).

Nice hotel, helpful staff, very accomafating. They helped us rent a car and schedule tours. On our last day they allowed us to shower and use the facilities after we had checked out. This was great as we were able to enjoy the beach and pool and then shower before our 23 hour flight.

Great little beach ruined by ‘hotel’
The place is shabby not in a chic way but in a lazy way. The shower was on sideways, screws stuck out and splatters of paint everywhere. The sheets were thin with holes and stains. The photos are misleading. The food bad. The restaurant has a lovely view but the relaxing sound of the sea is drowned out by the same music on an infuriating loop. I’m sure there are much better places to stay.

Good base to tour the north of Mahe
Well placed hotel a couple of miles away from the bustle of Beau Vallon, with its own small beach - and good snorkelling. Superior room was certainly 'interesting' - as most of one wall was cut into solid rock, but the whole place needs modernisation: poor lighting, no unused electrical points, awful wifi etc. The hotel's big asset is its dining area, overlooking the sea... with good breakfasts, but pricey evening meals.

Home Away From Home
The staff made the stay great. The sliding glass walls brought paradise into the cottage I stayed. Food was amazing! Bliss allowed me to disconnect and truly enjoy Mahé. It was like a small and friendly community at Bliss with all the other guests on the Hillside. Also, the decorative accessories highlight great details of the space. However, there are some changes I suggest. The living room furniture should be covered as it is terribly stained as well as the curtains and pull down drapes have mold on them (living room and bedroom). The walls in the shower need a thorough cleaning including the window drape. The seating on the deck needs to be replaced. As for breakfast, the juice pitchers need a thorough cleaning (mold around the edge). Also, the stairwell should be changed to an L-shape rather than the EXTREMELY NARROW spiral staircase. Other than the furniture and draperies, the space was very clean. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again as there were more pros than cons.

Fantastic Hotel
Hotel and staff are wonderful. Hotel is located north eastern side of Mahe on the main road. In fact the main road splits the main hotel from some of the rooms in the secret garden. There is no tv or WiFi in the rooms which is good news. WiFi is available at the pool and outdoor seating areas in the secret garden. The view from the restaurant is straight to the sea you can’t ask for a better view. The hotel has a private beach and rock pool. If you are planning to tour the island I would highly recommend getting a rental car as the hotel is a fair distance from most tourist sites. Rental cars are cheap and the hotel has parking. We stayed in many hotels around the world but this one is unique and special.

Overall my wife and I had a fantastic stay at Bliss hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and always accommodating. There was not a thing we couldn't ask of them. The hotel is still undergoing improvements and expansion so in the coming years I can see the higher standard that they are aiming for. The hotel has everything that you need for a relaxing holiday. The room was cleaned daily by staff with the head of housekeeping Paul very friendly and welcoming to guests. The hotel boasts its own restaurant overlooking the sea which serves a good buffet each evening with a mix of expat and local staff who are all friendly . And there is an adjoining restaurant owned by someone else that serves great food which also comes in handy. I would definitely stay here again. My wife loves the boutique feel of the hotel rather than staying in your typical resort. Just like ebery place in Seychelles for tourists the food is expensive. But if you want to rely on having a decent meal other than at the typical top rated island restaurants bliss hotel serve good food. The 1 downside is the timings that food is available. The dinner buffet starts at 7.30 which I found to be a bit late. However quite a few places on the island start serving dinner from about 7, we found 7.30pm too late to wait every night. So we did try quite a few places to eat on the island outside of the hotel for lunch and dinner. One thing which would have improved comfort is a better mattress. My only negative

Not a bliss time (very unsafe hotel)
We had a lovely 2 days/evening here and the food and view is fantastic. HOWEVER, we got broken into in the early hours in room 1 by the beach and it was terrifying. It immediately came to our attention that there is no security here (we had to call the police ourselves!), and the rooms have little bolts on the door. We should have asked to move when we saw the bolt but we thought we were in paradise and you don't think like that?! After the hole incident, we immediately changed hotels and felt a lot safer at the HIlton. If they improve the security and the doors then it would be a fantastic hotel but if you value your life I wouldn't recommend it. We are both lucky to be unhurt. We are probably the first where they have had a break in by a masked man, but there was theft during the day while we stayed and heard from other hotel guests. Please please take this review seriously if you are reading it. The area is unsafe and security is terrible. Next time it might be a lot worse than what we experienced. I was very disappointed with the hotel staff too the next day (Matteo and owner not showing any compassion towards us ) We eventually got refunded by Expedia who were fantastic through the whole process. The same couldn't be said about Bliss. Like I said if they improve security (replace al doors, lights, cameras) and have someone on reception through the night then i would recommend.

Friendly,clean hotel but with rustic charm
We had a great stay in this unusual place. A wonderful view from our balcony, then stepped into clean air-conditioned room. The shower was fun, as the water pressure suddenly drops but that minor gripe, together with the slight annoyance of lack of fresh coffee (only instant at breakfast) did not detract majorly from our enjoyment of The Bliss. The rustic detail and 'arty' feel of the place, with lots of wood, sea shells and the sandy floor of the dining area, festooned with calico and white drapes billowing in the breeze, gave the place a dreamy feel. The food, save the instant coffee, was great. Unusual fruits for breakfast together with 'designer omelettes' and then the great Seychellois buffets in the evening, were tasty and well prepared. There are plenty of hotels that are much dearer, but they seemed too manicured and sterile compared with the Bliss. I seriously advise staying here. The staff are so warm and helpful and the atmosphere is quiet, happy and relaxed. There is easy access down the steps of the dining room to a superb beach. Enjoy!

Beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting. We stayed in one of the garden rooms across the road which was lovely - peaceful and private. The buffet breakfast was very good with a choice of pastries, pancakes, cereals, fruit and eggs however you like them. It was a lovely way to wake up enjoying breakfast overlooking the beautiful private beach. The scenery is really breathtaking and the interior design is so unique and suits the hotel perfectly. The staff were very pleasant, particularly the kitchen staff who gave us reccomendations on the best places to go in the evenings. The hotel offers a complimentary "Teatime" treat early evening of your choice of hot drinks, iced tea and the most delicious banana fritters which we really enjoyed. On our first night we wanted to enjoy the sunset with a local beer, however, we found it to be the most expensive at this hotel than anywhere else on the island and other islands. We paid 90 rupees at the hotel, in the local shops it's sold for 24 rupees and at other restaurants and hotels it is sold for no more than 70 rupees. Also the dinner buffet is 30 euros which we expected something quite extravagant, however, it was a small selection of food and only one choice of desert which was a very small portion considering. We found the food and drinks to be very overpriced which was disappointing as we were forced to eat and drink elsewhere, had the prices been more reasonable we would have loved to enjoy drinks and food at the hotel every night.

We stayed here for 3 nights on 3/2017. Hotel is nice, rooms are clean and nicely decorated with local wood, seashells and other. Staff is professional and really friendly. Breakfast is superb...enough for anyone - eggs, porridge, sausage, cheese, plenty of fruits, fresh juices... Beach is nice. Rather small but it has a nice access and you can swim and snorkel there. You have streches of white sandy beach just minutes away by foot. We preferred Carana beach a little north of the Bliss hotes - amazing rocks and quiet, lonely beach. But above all is the view from the reception and breakfast restaurant. Since everything on the island is overpriced we find this hotel offering a lot for money spent.

Booked 2 nights as bookend to honeymoon. Hotel is located on a main road which created significant road noise for our ocean view room. Check-in was fine though I was charged twice. Hotel is divided by road so restaurant, beach deck, and a couple of rooms are across the road from the rest of the rooms/pool. Hotel has potential but lacks proper upkeep. Rooms are spacious but sparsely decorated with absolute minimum with flimsy doors/windows. Reminded me tremendously of a US motel needing significant upkeep. Beach is pretty but very rocky. Deck area has nice views but chairs and towels are worn out. Pool is nice but wooden stairs into pool are extremely slippery and dangerous. A fall could have severe consequences due to angle and stone frame. Hotel has no warning signs regarding steps. Pool was very dirty. Free breakfast was sad. Room mattress was also very worn out. Hotel has potential but lack of maintenance is obvious. Lots of long faces from guests and hotel staff. Wi-Fi was weak as well.

This resort was beautifully decorated but poorly designed for functionality. Our room was a two story suite. The first floor had a living room area with a patio. The second floor contained a guest room with two twin beds, spacious master bedroom, bathroom, and balcony. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable and the whole room had an air of total relaxation and comfort. The problem is, to get between the floors, there was a steep, narrow winding staircase made of wood that almost seemed like drift wood. We are physically fit people and on the small side. There was absolutely no way we could take our suitcases to the second floor. It was hard to get up that stair case with even the smallest item in your hands--even just walking up yourself seemed treacherous. This worked for one day, but I'm glad we weren't staying for a week. Someone who is disabled, old or overweight could not get up there. And I would be afraid to let a kid under 6 in there. The bathroom was the other strange part. 75% of the floor was covered in loose rocks. A small wooden mat was placed on top of the rocks where you could stand while showering or using the sink. It gave you a feeling of using an outdoor shower, but again was not the most functional. And there was a wood strip holding the rocks back that we constantly tripped on (this theme continued in the common areas). Throughout the hotel, you need to be on constant alert for tripping or falling hazards!

Great views and very blissful
We had 6nights at bliss hotel, food was very good along with very friendly staff. If your not looking for too much luxury and just want to get away from it all this is the perfect place to get away from it all. My only complaint would be the pool which could have been cleaner and the steps are quite dangerously slippery so you have to be careful. Otherwise our stay was amazing had a really relaxinbg holiday.
