Very nice hotel with friendly staff.

This Omni is in a great location on the Magnificent Mile about 5 blocks from Red Line stations. Very clean and well maintained with helpful staff. Comfy bed and decent city views from many rooms. We booked a premium suite because it had a private bedroom which was not easy to find among four star hotels. Nice place with lots to do in the area. Amenities are limited: the restaurant/bar is very expensive; the indoor pool is small; there is an outdoor deck on floor 5 with about 5 chairs but what appears to be a nice balcony at the top of the tower must only be accessible to one staying in the Governor's Suite. We had an enjoyable stay here with our daughter but if I came only with my wife I would likely stay at a Kimpton or Embassy Suites who have an evening reception included.

Excellent location and friendly staff

Posted 19-Aug-2017
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Room cleanliness, bed comfort
Location: Magnificent mile, Navy Pier, Pizza
We selected the Omni based on its location and a previous stay many years ago. The staff is excellent, but the room could have used a good wipe down. The daily room cleaning was good and we always had fresh towels. We tried the breakfast buffet one morning with our vouchers. There was a dirty glass and silverware that the waiter quickly replaced. The food was good and the service quick, but I would recommend other nearby restaurants for a better value. The best thing was the set up of the room as a true suite. However the only A/C vent seemed to be in the living area which made the bed area a little stuffy. Overall a nice friendly stay, but we will probably try a different hotel next time.

I stayed in Omni Chicago for four nights and it was the perfect location. It was walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and major attractions. I had an overnight flight, so I arrived to the hotel fairly early. I stored my luggage, had breakfast, and the staff was able to accommodate an early check-in when I returned, which was awesome. I would definitely stay here again!

Nicest staff ever!

Pros: The people who worked there!!!
Cons: The beds were not very comfortable.
Location: Great location for restaurants and shopping. Central to everything.
The staff at Omni was absolutely the best! Friendliest and nicest people at desk, bell services, room service. They were all great. Whoever is managing this hotel deserves a raise! Also restaurant quickly served my grandkids their meals when we were running late for a cubs game. Never had better service at a hotel!

great hotel in a great location

Pros: all of it was good The bar had a great view of the city/Michigan Ave
Cons: the hotel restaurant was very expensive, so we did not eat there. there were plenty of options near by. recommend Sunnyside Cafe for breakfast
Location: The hotel was on Michigan ave and Huron St - right in the heart of shopping. walking distance to Lake Michigan (1/2mile-ish), lots of buses and subway
stayed at the Omni Hotel for a girls weekend in Chicago. everyone there was so nice and helpful, the room was clean the bed was comfortable (a little soft for me). We had 2 beds and a pull out couch that was also comfortable. when we needed extra blankets or towels, housekeeping staff brought them within 10min. Check in/out was quick with no problems. The valet staff would say your car would be up in 15-20min, but it was usually more like 10min. overall you could tell customer service was a priority Many things to do all in walking distance or with transportation nearby. Do not recommend trying to drive much in Chicago, crazy traffic. If you did, the hotel valet had in/out privileges
