The absolute highlight was the views—simply amazing from everywhere we went, including the room, restaurant, bar, and pool. The buffet breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. A special shoutout to the staff who provided truly outstanding service. The location is ideal: perched on the hill so it’s easy for cars to access, yet still well within short walking distance of the town center, shops, and restaurants. Highly recommended!"

The only downside is that is quite far from the centre of Ella - and getting a Tuk-Tuk through PickMe was almost impossible - meaning I had to pay at least twice as much to flag one down."

"We had a lovely stay at Ella Retreat. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and included a fridge, kettle, little cooktop and kitchen sink which was handy. We had one of the best breakfasts of our trip here - it was delicious and very generous with portions, with lots of options to choose from. Just look out for the monkeys who might pay you a visit with an eye for your food! Complimentary archery was fun, and we loved the rustic charm of the place. Please note that you can not park at the accommodation - they have a parking spot at the bottom of the hill and will cart you and your luggage up in a tuktuk (about a 5 min drive up a narrow, winding road)."

"Amazing place. Can’t fault a single thing. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was amazing. Staffs are very polite and helpful. Always ready to help with a buggy. Spa was amazing in a very scenic set up. Secluded yet just a few mins drive to main city centre. Pool area is nice but the pool is rather small. Breakfast is very good, made to order. Complimentary guided trek to little Adams peak just behind the resort. They gave discount vouchers for Ravana pool club and zip lining but we didn’t have time to try. Overall fully recommend."
