This is my second stay at this property in 5 years Absolutely convenient for a short stay in Madrid. Well staffed, a decent breakfast, clean, effective room service and very close to the airport. Bedding was nice and comfy. The hotel has no frills like pool, gym or business facilities. The rate is very competitive.

We stayed at this hotel in late March 2024. Check in was excellent. We went into the room and it was very warm. We turned on the AC and went for a walk and supper. When we returned the room was extremely hot. I called the front desk and was told, "we don't have air conditioning, open the window" The room finally did cool down around 3 oclock in the morning. Completely ruined our stay.. Other than that the room was fine......

Very close to the airport BUT no transport to and from. If I knew that, I wouldnt not have booked it. The robbing taxi drivers charge 20 Euros for a 5 minute trip. After the fact I could have gotten an UBER for about 7-8 Euros. The saving grace was an employee there named Andrea who was great and friendly after I expressed my frustrations. Its a decent area near bars and restaurants. The other thing was the air con wasnt on or didnt work. It was a warm spring day. It was about 70 degrees F or about 21 C and the room was quite stuffy. Again the thing that saved the day was the windows opened a few inches and it was OK to sleep however it was a bit noisy.

Good sized room, big bed, lovely shower room, modern decor, very peaceful in spite of being close to the airport, lots of bars and restaurants very close to the hotel, lovely welcome pack for the dog, great motorway links. Have stayed here before, would definitely stay again. No negatives for us.

The night front desk staff was great. All hands on. Very helpful. Totally in the vibe of “you’re tired, let’s get you to your room”. The night auditor at my 4 am checkout for my flights. Rude. Generic. Killed the great vibe. The team still gets all 5 stars.

The clerk at the front desk lent me a plug for my mobile phone. My only problem was that taxis charge 20 euros for a five-minute ride. Ibis either needs to provide transportation (a shuttle) or inform guests that there is a public bus. Twenty euros was the only big rip-off I experienced in Spain. Otherwise, I was completely satisfied with Ibis.

OK for short stay
It was an adequate hotel for a single night if flying in or out of Barajas airport, but I don’t recommend it for a long stay. On the plus side, the staff was very nice and the breakfast was better than expected. On the downside, the room was quite small - not even enough room for two suitcases in a room with two beds. And the bed itself was pretty uncomfortable. The mattress was extremely thin and kept sliding around relative to the bed frame.

Very convenient location with metro within a ten minute walk, therefore terminals very accessible plus city centre. The hotel is very clean and our room and bathroom were spacious and spotless. Breakfast is extra but a great variety of foods.

A Truly Efficient Hotel
I stay here every time I need to embark on a trip from the Madrid airport. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. They provide all needed information. The rooms are well equipped with wisely planned space, no extras so nothing is wasted.

The room was clean and tidy, but that’s bare minimum expectation. That was about the only positive. Upon arrival, the lobby was empty and as we approached check-in there was a female manager disciplining a younger man. It was super awkward and even though she acknowledged us, she continued to chastise this guy for several more minutes while we just watched. He was embarrassed, we were embarrassed. So obviously when she left and he checked us in, he wanted us out of there as quickly as possible and wasn’t very friendly. Understandably, but this was a horrible first impression. When we got to the room, it was super bare bones. I’m talking efficiency all the way. As most people are, we were only spending the night to fly out the next day but when I say bare bones - I mean it. No coffee in room, no comforter or duvet, some rinky dink shelf system that was just silly and in the way. The bed itself was a foam pad on top of a futon. I kid you not - it was NOT A MATTRESS. If you forget something, a toiletry or something small, don’t bother asking about it at the front desk. My husband kindly went to inquire about a shower cap for me, and the man at the FRONT DESK LAUGHED AT HIM. Unreal. We were stunned. Finally, the interior of this place is god awful. It’s like the design team went haywire on all the trendy hipster things and it just seems juvenile, dated, and uncomfortable. I hope this helps set expectations for future guests, clearly that will be our last stay.

Everything you need for a night layover at Madrid Barajas. Rooms extremely quiet and conveniently located very close to the airport. The staff very friendly and ready to help. Sadly they do not have a shuttle service.
