Property is under renovation so lot of dust and construction activity. Breakfast is limited to Togo bags (no hot items), no pool or gym. This is not clearly mentioned at booking sort of deceptive.

The property was under construction and therefore the hallways and common areas were dirty. The room itself was clean and nice. The "breakfast" was cereal, yogurt and toast. They should notify guest that the place is under construction!!!

Construction Zone
The best part of this experience, is that they refunded me my payment and let me get out of there. It is under construction, dusty, tarped. Check in is in a bedroom, no hot breakfast, just some goods in another first floor bedroom. Open ceilings. No pool, hot tub or gym. The 1st, 3rd and 4th floors are out of commission and while the rook. Was tidy, im asthmatic and the dust everywhere was palpable in the air.NOT the place I wanted to be after a 13 hr drive! Hotels com isn't letting me upload photos, but I have them!

I have stayed here before and it's been fine. You get what you pay for and I knew the outside was under construction from a previous stay but didn't realize what the inside would be like this time. No vending or ice. Very loud construction noise in the morning. Little to no food for breakfast (the fruit was rotten). The staff was friendly.

DONT BOOK!!
This hotel is under major construction and it was not advertised as such. There is now a notice on their direct website that says there is renovation but all services are available. NOT true. No pool, no hot tub. Doors/windows all over the lobby, construction equipment surrounding the bldg. Windows out all over the bldg. If arriving at night, no adequate lighting to see where to get to the lobby. Management refuses to refund even though they are fraudulently advertising full services.

Don't stay at Monona Hotel
Hotel under construction without any notice on the website. No pool or hot tub. Bed was hard and pillows were flat. The advertised "room darkening curtains" were just decorative because they didn't cover the windows. I left become I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep there.

MAJOR CONSTRUCTION ZONE
This hotel is under major construction. The lobby, as well as the breakfast room, are in guest rooms. The pool is closed as are the exercise facilities. Minimal parking. Everywhere you walk is a construction zone and they begin hammering at 7 am. They should have shut down during this kind of construction as it was creepy to be staying in those conditions.

PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE! 1) Currently under construction. You will enjoy the sound of hammers all day 8am - 5pm. 2) Breakfast = worst I've ever seen at a hotel. NO MILK to go with cereal. I asked if they were going to go buy some milk, and was told "nope." Waffle maker was broken. Mini muffins only edible item. 3) Dirty bathroom and room smelled musty. 4) Met a meth-head every morning when I walked out of hotel. He was nice enough, so there is that. Was solicited by a female at the front door to the hotel one night. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the worst hotel experience of my life, and I have stayed in some real dumps. Go anywhere else in Madison.

Property was in a good location. Yes it was under construction, but we had no trouble with noise. Property should have updated amenities that were not available. Breakfast was lacking, but once again we planned for that. Staff were nice and rooms were clean.

It's fine for what you pay for.
This hotel is under construction to become a Fairfield Inn and Suites, so some things are being overlooked. Check in was easy, beds were really comfy, there was hair on the bathroom floor and our coffee maker was dirty.

Close to Aliant Energy Center. Reasonably priced. Great and friendly staff. As of 11/4/23, the property is in the process of renovation. Many areas of the building are closed. You can only enter the hotel from the back door and there are limited parking spaces (unless you're willing to park in the Sheraton lot and walk around a fence). The pool is open but the hot spa is closed. The breakfast area is also closed and breakfast is now offered in two connecting rooms on the first floor. The free breakfast was horrible (McDonald's food isn't great but it was far better) and the juice machine didn't work. There's cereal but no milk. All you have to drink is fountain water. Most annoying are the banging noises. I hope the poor quality is due to the renovation.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is very helpful. The breakfast food is decent. I gave comfort a medium rating because our bathroom door did not close all the way and guests including children were very loud in the hall of the main level well after midnight. Right down from the front desk. I wish someone at the front desk addressed the guests who were so noisy.

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I realize the building is currently under construction, so I give some grace for that. It just had an "order" of old/ musty cigarette smell- maybe fresh carpet/ paint will help with that after construction is complete. Also- a towel in the bathroom had hair on it- so cleanliness could be a little better. Overall, beds were super comfortable and good night sleep.

This property was under construction and difficult to maneuver through the parking lot. The overall condition of the property was dirty, we also found hair in the bathroom. There were quite a few questionable individuals in and outside of the property, smoking and loitering. The guests with me were extremely concerned over the general lack of upkeep at this property. I would NEVER stay here or recommend this property again.
