We were very happy with the Hotel's location and staff! That food is also really good for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try to avoid the rooms in the front of the hotel (since they are next to the rail road) the river view ones and much much better and if you can get one on the second floor with the terrace then you can sit out and enjoy the view. Kudos to Jimmy (the Hotel Manager) excellent attitude and very helpful!
If you are going to go to Macchu Picchu stay here, it's on top of the hill overlooking the town, very close to the hot springs. Which are highly overrated, basically a big hot tub with lots of nasty tourists stinking it up. So my suggestion, pay the extra $25 usd a night and get the HUGE suite with amazing view with the big jaccuzi tub, your legs and back will thank you after Machhu Picchu!!!
The service was excellent. Reception by hotel staff at the train station. They help you with everything you need or ask. The hotel is like 2 stars hotel in terms of features and room conditions/furniture/bathrooms but the overall experience was good. The family rooms composed of two connecting rooms is excellent for families. It is walking distance from the station, bus to Machu Picchu, local markets, restaurants, etc..I stayed a single night so It was very convenient for me and my family.
