This hotel is in a convenient location, close to the busses to Machu Piccu. Also notable that you don't need to climb stairs to get there from the train with your luggage, and after you check out if you have time they will keep your luggage and deliver it to the train at boarding time. I found other streets to have more action that this one, and the street itself is half dirt half paved, but overall a great value for the price.

Everything was great except our room was very hot. No air conditioning in superior rooms and no ceiling fan which would realy have helped. at 12:30AM I finaly called down for a fan. Fan was terrible hardly any air coming out of it. But LOVED everything else!

Horrible odor in bathroom, no answer ever if you call front desk, elevator out of order and you have to carry your things to the fourth floor and up. The blow dryer didn't blow hot air. The cleaningness of the room and the clean modern design is a good point as well as the nice staff (that you can't reach by phone and have to go downstairs so many times).
My second visit to Machu Pichu after 10 years. Although much more touristy, locals in Aguas Caliente are still quite friendly and genuine, not pushy in shops or restaurants. Jorge was very polite and informative during check-in. Always have a nice smile on his face which makes us feel very welcoming. We were able to borrow walking stick for my mother to visit Machu Pichu without any trouble. The open space outside each floor are great to take in the magnificent view of Peruvian tropical forests and listen to the mighty Urubamba river while relaxing. Room are warm, spacious and clean.
So we changed our first hotel to this one just cause of location.
So it's def not a 4 star hotel by maybe a 3 star hotel. The staff is somewhat friendly. She told me a price then it changed to an extra 100$ which was terrible.
The location is great and safe. Right beside the restaurant and The alley that leads right to it.
The hotel has rooms in every floor OPEN. To me that was a little off so make sure to lock your doors
My family loved this hotel. The only thing you need to be aware of is that it is right by the rail. We personally thought that added charm and loved watching the train activity. There are fancier places, but we would go back here! The views from the room are breathtaking!!! The staff aims to please, the beds are very comfy with satisfying linens and comforters, plenty of hot water for satisfying showers... The trains stop around 9pm and we were not awakened by them in the morning. Magical place!!
Dramatic cliffs, swathed in emerald green, rise into misty skies to envelop the tourist town of Aguas Calientes, the first and last stop for most Machu Picchu visitors. Buses depart from Aguas Calientes along a winding, mountainous road towards the iconic Peruvian landmark, thought to be royal Incan estate built in the 1400s. The town's other attraction is its namesake: a set of hot springs.
