Machans Beach Holidays from £460

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! It is a disgusting, old, run-down hotel that looks nothing like the pictures! The first thing I noticed was the black mould on the back of the front door when I walked in! There was no blanket on the bed, luckily there was a thin blanket that I found in the wardrobe which didn't help much on a particularly cold night for Cairns. There were also no power point's near the bed, I had to plug my phone into the one behind the TV. Please be careful because somehow they are running 3 hotels/motels out of the same horrid building - The Reef Motel and Acacia Court Hotel are being used as fronts for the same building. My mother and brother stayed at The Reef Motel the week before and had the same horrible room and experience as I did. Unfortunately I didn't realise that the Oceanfront was located in the same building when I booked it and was so angry when I rocked up at the front! They also say that they are newly renovated rooms and the hotel is being refurbished but that's a lie too! Please save yourself and do not book here. I never write reviews but had too because if how bad it was and I don't want people to have to experience what my family and I had to go through!

The staff is very easy communication with. The room is clean and has everything we need.
