The condo was very nice and had everything you needed. The views are fantastic-we saw whales every day during our three week stay from the balcony. Also saw turtles and jumping fish! The location is absolutely the best! Close to what ever direction you are headed too.
The accommodations are truly as described. Wonderful patio looking over ocean with plenty of turtles. Kitchen well equipped while living spaces have all the amenities. Comfortable place with just the right amount of space for 2 people.
We had an amazing time! The place had a great view and was the perfect place to stay while we were in Maui!
We like to stay in condos so we can cook our own meals while in Maui. Most kitchens have adequate pot, pans, dishes etc. but this condo was equipped to cook anything and everything. And everything was in good shape. The view from the lanai was great and the living room comfortable. The king bed was ...
I stayed here with my family and the unit is wonderful! We had a beautiful harbor view and Barbara was very communicative and helpful. I would highly recommend this listing for anyone looking to stay in Maui away from the resorts!
This place was wonderfully located! The house had a well stocked kitchen and the overall space was really well used which gave a roomy feel. We really appreciate the little extras like beach towels and a cooler! The condo was really clean when we arrived!
I love the condo, location and quiteness. It was so easy to get around, designated parking was great and restaurants in walking distance made it one of the best condo I have ever stayed at. I will definitely try and reserve it again the next time I come to Maui.
Maalaea Harbor is a busy port that gives you plenty of reason to head out into the Pacific Ocean. Choose from whale-watching excursions or snorkelling boat trips that leave Maalaea Harbor and head to Molokini, a volcanic crater just off the shore. Maalaea Harbor is also world-renowned for its surfing. Experienced surfers try to ride the freight-train waves, which are said to be the fastest in the world.
The small town of Maalaea has a few hotels and condos, and its harbour and Maui Ocean Center make it a popular spot for families. Its shoreline is also one of the best for spotting local sea life, as humpback whales regularly swim close to the coast and you can often spot sea turtles on the beaches.
The area around Kahului Airport is another hotel and resort area within easy reach from Maalaea Harbor. Kahului town features some of Maui Island’s best discount shopping, and is also the location of historic sites including the Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum. It’s close to Maui’s main airport, only a seven-minute drive out of town.
The majority of hotels and resorts close to Maalaea Harbor offer mid-range family-friendly accommodation. There are plenty of leisure facilities, from outdoor pools to saunas, and some hotels also have mini putting greens and garden areas.
Ideal for families and extended stays, Maalaea Harbor’s condos and rooms feature kitchenettes with stoves, microwaves and refrigerators. Free WiFi and satellite TV provide in-room entertainment.
You can have your pick of several boat trips out into the ocean to try and spot humpback whales. But you can also just head to one of the local beaches to spot the whales just off the coast. Just a two-minute drive out of Maalaea, McGregor Point is a lookout spot that offers excellent views of the ocean. Drive a further ten minutes up the shore to get to Olowalu Reef, where you’re quite likely to see whales jumping out of the water.
