It is easily reached by foot from train station and is in the city centre. Good value
Excellent staff and service. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. House toiletries not that great.
It was my third stay at The Novotel Hotel Sheffield and everything came up to my expectations. Staff were amazing.
Was upgraded to suite which was superb. Friendly, efficient service. Located immediately next to Sheffield City Hall which we were visiting for an event. Price very competitive.
Amazing experience, I will recommend the place to all my friends and relatives and I would love to stay there again
Good location and modern room for reasonable price.
Pre-booked in to the nearby Moor Car Park, but then had car park token validated by hotel (who apparently have an agreement with the Car Park owners) when we booked out - it cost me an additional £14.00 to leave the car park after my two day stay !!
Outstanding breakfast, poor business center. Good fitness center, although one of the machines was out of order. Helpful and friendly staff. Great air conditioning in common areas; average to good air conditioning in rooms.
Who needs airconditioning at this day and age me and my girlfriend enjoy the warm heatwave conditions our room. As we both are old. The heat did us loads of good. Felt like we were in lovely Pakistan. Ignore the moaners about the heat in the room, There all light weights.
Holidaymakers of all persuasions have plenty to get excited about in the county of South Yorkshire. Breath-taking open expanses, bustling market town and historical attractions, this is a county that's got it all. South Yorkshire's most popular destination is the city of Sheffield. Once known for its production of steel, the modern northern city is now a powerhouse of culture. At the heart of it all lies the Lyceum Theatre, which is surrounded by exquisite hotels, making it a real hit with visitors to the city.
The original Lyceum Theatre was built way back in the Victorian era, in 1879. Sadly, this historic theatre was burnt to the ground. Wooden Victorian theatres often had an alarming tendency to that on a regular basis! After a complete rebuild, the present structure opened its doors to the public in 1897, with major rebuilding works taking place in 1991.
The Lyceum Theatre is the only remaining one of architect Sprague's buildings to remain standing outside of the capital. The 3-tier space holds an impressive 1,068 seats and has been a Grade-II Listed building since the 1970s.
The Lyceum Theatre is a large space in the centre of Sheffield, which makes it hugely attractive to events planners, as well as lovers of theatre. Whether you're planning a wedding, private party or corporate event, the versatile space could well prove to be the perfect venue.
Sheffield is the county's number one holiday destination, meaning it's home to some of the best hotels in South Yorkshire. From families travelling on a budget to couples looking to splurge on a luxurious holiday of a lifetime, there's something for everyone in this charming northern city.
In terms of convenience, it doesn't get much better than the Novotel Sheffield Centre. The four-star hotel is just seconds down the road from the theatre. The hotel is housed within a stunning period building, and boasts some impressive facilities including an indoor swimming pool and fitness centre.
The Best Western Cutlers Hotel offers an equally convenient setting with an affordable price tag. There's free WiFi throughout the hotel and all of the city's premier attractions are within easy reach.
