The hotel's elegant lobby and rooms were beyong compare. Our room had beautiful furnishings and a very comfortable bed. However, in the middle of the night, the people next doors started a threesome and laughed and spoke very loudly for a few hours. I didn't call the reception because I kept on thinking they would fall asleep...

The major reason that I am giving this hotel a very high rating is due to its customer service. The first night of our stay there was construction going on on a dining room just under our room. The crew worked into the evening, past 8:00 and we could hear the noise. In the morning a staff member asked how our night was, we mentioned the noise. They apologized and stated that was not supposed to happen, said they would make sure it didn't happen again, and immediately moved us to another room away from the construction site. It was a much better room but we were not charge any difference in price. We stayed in this room for the rest of our stay. I appreciate the response from management. The facilities themselves are very nice, with additional factors, such as large sitting rooms that made our stay very enjoyable.

This hotel is the nicest in the area. We love historic hotels and this one is kept in good condition. Good in the restaurant was very good and good value. I would give this hotel 5 stars but for the fact that despite it was half full, we were given a room furthest from the elevator and overlooking ugly roof with equipment on it. We did pay for upgrade for historical room.

Convenient location for visiting the Shenandoah National Park. Enjoyed the SpeakEasy for good food, drinks and friendly staff. Breakfast at the Circa was also good.

Property was beautiful! However, I wasn’t happy at all with the staff. My husband and I walked in around 3:20pm and the front desk lady said the room would be available soon (guaranteed at 4pm). We waited for half an hour and then another family came in, she checked them in and gave them a key right away. I specifically saw they got the same type of room as us. Then she called me to say my room is ready, when I approached to get the key she said oh no wait I need to check if it’s clean. Room looked nice and clean, but the king size bed sheets looked definitely used (all wrinkled up).

Our stay at the Mimslynn Inn was very comfortable. From checkin to breakfast at Circa 31 the next morning, everyone was very nice to deal with. We enjoyed our one night stay. I wish we could've stayed longer but I intend to return.

Beautiful building and elegant interior decoration reflecting the time when the inn was popular. Still a special place to stay up on the hill and with the nice Speakeasy restaurant on ground floor. It was lively on a Friday night in this small town. Nearby are some good shops and an ice cream store.

This place has a historic look with antique furniture, stunning winding stair cases, dining rooms, large main shared areas etc. The rooms are smaller than modern hotels but sufficient to meet our needs. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was included and the eggs were good. The place was not crowded, however the few guests there were also very friendly. We did eat dinner in the dining room. Again, very few people there. It was delicious but higher priced and worth it for convenience. We didn't have enough time to explore the area. We plan to return when we have time to do more than just pass through. We saw much to do and would need a few days to get a better feel for the area. Looked interesting!

Our stay was nice. The hotel was doing some repairs and painting. Aside from that , it was a comfortable stay. Neighbors were very loud after hours, but eventually wound down. The area is very quaint. Small town in countryside. Good get-away.

Wow. This was such a huge disappointment. I went for a girls night away and it was a nightmare. The room was not as advertised. Tiny TV, old small electric fireplace, florescent lights everywhere, non inviting room. Room wasn’t as expected at all. Went downstairs since nothing is open. The speakeasy was unexpectedly closed so we bought a bottle of wine of our own to take in the lobby and enjoy by the fireplace. The Rude woman at the lobby desk named Rachel was extremely disrespectful. She goes on to say “did you buy that wine here?” And says you can’t drink any outside wine here. Says it very blunt and rude. There are no signs anywhere stating that you can’t drink alcohol that you bring yourself. I suggest getting a sign that states that and also not false advertising what your rooms look like. We will not return.

Absolutely beautiful!
I came here for the night for me. Time I ordered a bistro filet entree,it was absolutely delicious! Also had a delicious melonball cocktail, i slept like a baby and i definitely recommend this place to anyone, rather it's with your family or not :)
