Comfortable and Convenient in Lunenburg
The Dockside is a very welcoming place with a great view of the Lunenburg waterfront. Being an older building it has a few quirks, but the overall experience is about as good as it gets.

Never want to leave
Second stay at the Dockside Inn this vacation and it once again exceeded our expectations. We stayed in room 6 and it was so cozy, charming and clean. Recently renovated and very spacious. And not to mention the view!! A must stay. Food at the restaurant is very yummy and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and beyond. If I could rent a room here year round and never go back home I would. Thank you to Mike and Kyle (owner/son) for making our visit that much better. I will for sure be back!!

A MUST stay and eat!
I have stayed in Lunenburg twice now and the Dockside Inn and Restaurant is the ONLY place I will stay now. The charm, friendliness, location, vibe and comfort are everything here. Prior to my arrival, Kyle was extremely helpful with organizing some stuff for my moms 70th birthday and they went over and above with what I was expecting. Just amazing. We stayed in room 1 over looking the ocean and it was spacious, cozy, had everything we needed. Only thing it could have had was some towel hooks and some ice cube trays. But it by far was not a deal breaker. Can’t wait to stay in a different room in a few days when we make our way back!!

It’s an old building but has been taken care by the owners / operators. Location is great. Free parking is minimum available, a hit or miss, common in Lunenburg, but, there is full day paid parking at very short distance.

The staff and room were amazing!...the restaurant and food were also amazing!...extremely fresh seafood and expertly cooked. Prices were very fair seeing where its located and the views from our room overlooking the harbor and boats was priceless...we'd highly recommend the Dockside to anyone wanting a very quaint and enjoyable stay while in Lunenburg Rooms 1 and 2 have spectacular views ! Best views in town
We love it. The rooms are good sized with kitchen and full baths. The view from the window was spectacular overlooking the harbor.

Hospitality, Location, View, Helpful, Food ...all AMAZING. I'm not sure where to begin to to say thank you to The Dockside for a perfect 3 night stay. Mike, the owner, was amazing - welcoming, so kind, flexible, generous with his time on recommendations, and, and, and, and, and! His son Kyle was a delight every morning at breakfast - fun, playful and amazing. Heather ...Diane ...also so warm and kind. Even their cousin who doesn't even work there took the time to make my Mom's bucket list stay perfect. The view from The Dockside can't be beat out of any of the other properties in Lunenburg. The food - delicious - try teh Lunenburg Scallops. Location is PERFECT - can walk everywhere AND quiet for a great nights sleep. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in town. Note: there are no main stream hotels in the area -- so if you are looking for traditional 4 & 5 star hotels with all the amenities, fancy stuff ....this is not your town. But you'll be missing out if you don't stay and experience this gorgeous town and its people.

Hidden treasure
We had a big surprise. We found a suite overlooking the bay and it was beautiful. Living room dining table, kitchen,bath and 2 queen beds. Magnificent!!!

The dockside is a great location for doing everything in Lunenberg! The in house restaurant is so convenient as well! Great for families!

Room was great! Fixable problems
Room was wonderful! Imagine my surprise when my room was flooded with spot lights because of a filming across the street! The phone and WiFi were the only problem. The need to dial 9 to get the desk plus the WiFi password should be posted IN THE ROOM!instead I had to go down all those statues and back up again! I am old, that is not an option!

We parked on the street 100’ from the door. There is a loading zone right out front. Easy checkin/checkout. Great staff at hotel and restaurant. Full lobster dinner overlooking the Bluenose II and the harbour/golf course. It’s a great spot with a million dollar view.

This was a fantastic in for our family of 6 people. With a full kitchen, large amount of square feet and three beds, we were comfortable in the room. It was also right on the main street and walkable to everything Lunenburg has to offer

You'll have to park on the street and pay for parking after 11am. Great to visit when the Bluenose II is docked as it is right in front of the property.

Stayed for 3 nights in a spacious harbour view suite with kitchenette, no complaints there as the location was amazing - super clean, AC that works well, close to all kinds of wonderful restaurants, cute shops and Fisheries Museum. However building is very old, everything's a bit dated and there are no elevators. However that's no biggie for us - we would definitely book again!
