Pricey and Bland
It is one of the better hotels in the city, however it can be quite expensive. As a Taj property it does offer the excellent hospitality that you get at any Taj. However as a hotel, it is a little underwhelming. Compared to other Taj hotels the decor is almost non existent in rooms so when you immediately walk into the room it does feel a little cheap. However the bed is comfortable and there is a pillow menu for you to get exactly what you need for a good nights sleep.

Right from the girl at reception who welcomed us gave us room keys( # 261) to Shekhar( Restaurant Manager- Sahib café), lady Chef at Roti section, the waitress, Housekeeping staff, Tall Security guard with Moustache and his colleagues, everyone were so welcoming, Helpful and sweet-natured that it became our home away from home. I am an Ex-Oberoi, Ex-Hyatt and have always heard so much about Taj but never got chance to experience it. But, yesterday I realized that whatever I heard was so true..... Please convey my sincere thanks to everyone whom I met with and interacted.

Stayed whilst Covid restrictions were in place. Hotel took good precautions. Food could be better. Rooms are not modern. Even suite was quite small. Room cleaning could be better. Water for shower was not hot. Whilst they advertise large garden it is locked and you need to ask for it to be opened each time. It is also not adequately maintained, however this could be now during Covid period. I would not rate the stay as value for money.

Property is amazing, Taj are known for luxury hotel. This was was the best property in Lucknow. Special mention to the incredible team Akash Verma, Amiksha and Viksit. Thank you so much for your hospitality. I had been planning my parents anniversary surprise trip and Akash took the great care with attention to detail on everything and also went above and beyond to make sure my parent have the best time! Superb hotel in Lucknow. The service was excellent. All staff makes you feel at home. The welcome desk was most helpful. Shomya , Mazhar and other staff including the F&B manager. Both the chefs were experts in their field. They even took feedback from guests. Few chefs do that. Chinese dinner and Indian breakfast were most appetising. Compliments to the entire team at Taj Lucknow.

Beautiful property. We loved the look of the room as it was a modern version of a palace room. We got the garden view which was lovely and serene. We took a brief walk of the garden and pool area and it was breathtaking! Had dinner at Oudhyana. The restaurant had live music with classical instruments. We tried the Lucknow food and it was amazing! The staff were extremely nice and friendly. Had the buffet breakfast at Sahib Cafe. Amazing food w/ great selection! I highly recommend this hotel!

No internet for 2 days which was a big issue. The bathroom was run down and dirty. The floor of the room was wooden and stained. Very small carpets that shift as you walk on them. Super slippery bathroom floor so you have to be careful not to slip in the room and bathroom. Not up to the Taj standard expected.

We were there for a short trip - only one night stay. Unfortunately my wife needed medical attention, as she fell in the elevator and hurt herself, after having a blackout. Hotel staff acted promptly, got a doctor, and helped us throughout. Service was excellent in all respects. Food in the restaurant was also good and the staff their very friendly and cooperative.
