It was our honeymoon trip and the staff were preparing for our arrival by folding the blankets into heart shape when we arrived, and put a welcome card with 2 heart shaped chocolates too. Very heartwarming gestures. Thumbs up!
Convenient location just a short walk from train station. Easy to get to local attractions and main tourist parts. Annoyed that on the last night of a 7 night stay there was extrememly loud music coming from somewhere till 6am - impossible to sleep, but not entirely hotels fault. Night reception staff not overly helpful and was told by the morning staff that hotel is close to industry and sometimes locals use it as a place to party as it is seen as non-residential.

Sleek, glass façade hotel located on the banks of the Vierwaldstätter See in Lucerne’s centre, 300 metres from the Old Town …More
Good location near train station. Hotel environment and room was clean. Shower room was small. No fridge. Housekeeping does not refill the teabags and water bottles in one day out of my three days stay. Front desk service is mediocre, not sure why but I assume many swiss hotels front desk people are not that friendly or it is not up to my expectation of a usual hotel standard courtesy. Breakfast was OK with one of the young restaurant staff who was very attentive to many customers including myself. Would consider stay again after trying other hotels nearby.

Loved the stay at Cascada. The hotel and the room were clean and very well maintained. The staff is very friendly. Most of the staff speak English well enough especially compared to other places in Switzerland. A younger lady in the restaurant went an extra mile and made us an off the menu salad with smoked salmon even though the restaurant serves mostly tapas. The breakfast was pretty good, again compared to other hotels in Switzerland. They have two parking options which is better and cheaper than anything around. Everybody was friendly and helpful. Recommended.
Home to nearly 60,000 people, Lucerne, on Lake Lucerne, is primarily a tourist destination due to its natural beauty of the lake and nearby Swiss Alps. The Chapel Bridge, a wooden bridge from the 14th century, is a top tourist attraction. Lucerne also boasts the Swiss Transport Museum exhibiting all forms of transport, including trains, cars, ships, and aircraft.
