Holidays to Lucea

I thought it would be a hotel, but it's more like a 4-bedroom bed and breakfast. The view is gorgeous. It was secluded, peaceful and quiet -- just what I needed at the time.

PROS - Staff. Service. Breakfast. Location. Clean. Views. Comfort. Bathroom. Balconies. CONS - Location. Amenities. I LOVED my stay. Check-in and Check-out was a Breeze. Staff was so nice and helpful. Our flight landed late and we had a few errands to run before arriving So with couple of phone calls & texts I was able to checkin super late (which I apologize & appreciate your patience with me). Breakfast was delicious Everyday. The View from the balcony in the bedroom was so Beautiful. The Bathroom was nice and clean with good water pressure. The whole layout is nice in the Suites. My only Issue is that the bedrooms do not have televisions. They are located in the living room/seating area. Also the location is in Bush. Its a bumpy ride up once turning off highway. Its kind of hard to find. But I will definitely stay there again!!

This was my 2nd time visiting. My 1st visit was in January 2020. I had a wonderful experience then and loved the breathtaking ocean view and the price of the rooms were reasonable so it brought me back. This time it was a nightmare. I booked a room with a king size bed ( I was traveling with my husband) and when I arrive the front desk tells me she changed my room to double beds because it has a nicer view. Hmm ok weird. We’re there no other king size beds with a view in the hotel considering the hotel was practically empty due to Covid?! Then the room was a disaster. The tv didn’t work properly, the beds were uncomfortable as one of them even felt like it came off the hinges, the toilet ran all night, the AC made noise and it drowned out the sound of the ocean waves that I wanted to hear! There was no WiFi for my entire two night stay. They claimed it was all of Ocho Rios but ironically I was able to connect to a neighboring hotel’s WiFi (moon palace) next door. And there was no hot water!!! We showered In ice cold water for two days! The staff was notified! No one came to me and offered to change my room, give me a status update or nothing!!!!!!!! The only responded on Expedia after I reviewed my check in. Jamaican ppl need to work on their customer service skills because I notice it’s a trend on the island. There is so much lack of urgency. It would of been nice if they offered something such as free dinner etc to makeup for the inconvenience. Would not recommend here.
