The housekeepers barely cleaned. I checked into my room, I took off my shoes and walked around for a second in my socks and my socks were black and full of hair. I threw out my socks and checked into another room, which wasn’t cleaned my entire stay. I called to the front desk asking them to clean and they didn’t

Sorry for the inconvenience, our agencies are working feverishly.
My stay at this hotel was very good and comfortable. The surroundings were beautiful and very clean. The rooms were well kept. However, I think a comforter should be placed on the beds as the sheets they currently have are too thin. Food was great. Overall an excellent stay!

My wife and I totally enjoyed our short stay at Magdalena Feb. 2024. The service was first class and the staff was very attentive. We particularly liked the transport around the facility with little golf carts. Special shout out to Kyron who drove us back and fort around the property and went the extra mile to ensure that we were comfortable; also special shout out to Diamond-Katie for her outstanding service at the pub. The hotel is very spacious. The main pool is gorgeous. I booked the 2 bedroom suite with jacuzzi for my 29th wedding anniversary. My cousin also accompanied my wife and I who utilized the second bedroom. The jacuzzi was inoperable which was very disappointing ! The living room floor kept encountering condensation on the floor. Our room 242 had an unbelievable view of the ocean! The buffet breakfast was ok. The let down for us was few choices of Trinidadian food. Saltfish, baigan choka and roti. The drinks were very good at all of the bars. Looking foward to another stay very soon!

A beautiful property, friendly staff,breakfast staff was great,supervisor of breakfast area was superb.Like many places their effort to keep plastic bottles from the grounds,especially the mangrove bordering the golf course is an ongoing challenge,though not bad in effort.A very nice place to visit.

Stay Away From This Resort!!!
The minute I got into my room it smells really musky a kind of damped , don’t let me talked about the bathroom towels . First of all my bathroom mats at my home is stark white , so having to used these towels for my body was very disappointing an disgusting, those towels needs to be THROWN OUT like yesterday, The restaurant staffs were so sweet and amazingly pleasant to us . For the price I’ve paid to stay at the Magdalena Resort an to find there isn’t a microwave is beyond useless in these times .

The food was excellent for the most part although limited for vegetarian diet. The first 2 days air conditioner was not working. The management did state that they will work with Expedia and refund one night stay. The maid service was excellent although during the 5 day stay they never changed the sheets. WiFi was very spotty. The pool was beautiful and warm. Loved the pool area. The bar staff by the pool was excellent. The service in the restaurant was horrible. The staff are not being trained properly. It ruined the dining experience eventhou the food was so good. I had to wait 90 min for a drink order during lunch. After one hour I cancelled it. 20 min later when we were ready to go they brought the drink over. I told the server that I cancelled that drink 20 minutes ago so she said that she would take it off the bill and that I could keep it. Moments later a supervisor Pamela comes to the table and demands that we ordered it so we have to pay for it. I told her I had already cancelled it over 20 minutes ago. She grabbed the drink in front of me and off she went in a huff. Totally unprofessional! The rest of the supervisory staff was friendly and professional.

The Magdalena Grand is beautiful, staff are polite and the breakfast is delicious. The downside is the Air conditioning in the rooms did not work at all and the hotel restaurant service was not very good at all. They should service the a/c in the rooms and have better chefs and faster service.
The resort is expensive and outdated. We booked an ocean view room and were placed in a room at the end of the world that was musty and moldy. When we initially asked to switch rooms, they declined and said they paint over the mold first! We were only moved when I insisted as the paint fumes made us dizzy. Staff was friendly enough, but the concierge was pretty useless when it came to recommending certain dining options or experiences outside of the resort. The golf course was decent, but nothing special. Won't be staying here again and would not recommend.

The staff was very accommodating and polite. Breakfast was superb there was always something different to eat each morning. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet.
What a disgrace! On the third day of my stay I left the property, forgoing the money I had paid in advance, just because I could not bear to stay one more second.
The room was run down and dirty, and smelt of mould.. the floors were constantly wet due to an ongoing issue where condensation occurs. Was I expected to allow my 1 year old baby to stay in these conditions? When I called the front desk the CSR had the audacity to imply that the condensation occurred because of something I did.
PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOYCOTT THIS HOTEL. The rooms are a hazard to your health and it is nothing close to the luxury vacation you are paying for. Shame on you Magdalena Grand!

Excellent stay at the Magdalena! The service was terrific with really attentive staff. We received welcome drinks, an impressive complimentary breakfast, golf cart ride to our rooms, Easter bags for the kids upon arrival, etc. The resort itself is a tiny bit outdated but nothing that takes away from its natural beauty or cleanliness. It is well maintained. The pool and background scenery of the blue ocean is amazing and photographs really well. Worth the price, and on par with other resorts we’ve stayed at around the world.

The property was not well maintained inside the rooms. They put us in a room that was far out from everyone else even though their weren't many people. Inside the rooms, the floors were dirty and the shower was too small. Also, the electricity went out for a few hours. I am not sure how a resort can loose power for so many people. The front desk staff seemed like they had a bad attitude when you ask them about it. When we called them if they had restored power, they said yes and hung up.
One positive note, our tire got flat and the maintenance guys were helpful to help my husband change the flat.

Expansive, well laid out grounds. Excellent food and service. Friendly, pleasant, efficient staff.
Some room amenities were missing: Room service menu; brochure with hotel layout, stationery, sewing kit. No advance notice that payment per meal is required. Daily, contingency fee taken in TT dollars instead of US, resulting in apparent non-payment of meal in excess of $300 tt.
The property is beautiful. However, it was so beautiful I took my eyes off the ground and stepped into a hole. The staff was alerted and made the proper provisions to ensure they took care of it.
