Pros: the pool, the buffet breakfast, the location
Cons: hotel staff
Location: great location tucked away, nothing to do outside of the premises

Pleasant stay

Posted 11-Apr-2016
Pros: Main pool shallow for kids..1m deep throughout Early checkin and late checkout facilitated once available without extra charge
Cons: Did not receive info at checkin about Kids Club and free bikes etc. Any amenities included should be highlighted
Nice hotel. Very pleasant staff. Front desk attendant Ferron very helpful as well as the bellboy..didn't catch his name. Even the various restaurant staff were very nice and certainly helped make this a wonderful first time stay

Nothing Special / Not worth the money.

Posted 09-Apr-2016
The hotel is so boring. No form activities as advertised. The only thing to do at this hotel is to stay in the pool all day. The hotel seems as a gost town hardly see the staffs , stayed for 4 nights did not see any managers. To be honest to go a hotel with your child and the only thing to do is to stay in the pool all day and the hotel is way off the streets have to take a taxi to see anything ever the main road. Seriously the staff is none existing. The food is horrible 3 nights the same food slice chicken breast , same fish & beef as the red meat , the chicken and fish prepared the same way only sauce different that was just bumpt on top it was disgracefull very sad a joke to be honest. The dining room staffs was a joke as well very poor service. I did not like my stay. Water was leaking from the bath room into the room. It was just a horrible experience for me and my family even my 9 year old daughter noticed the lack of service. They advertise kids program my child didn't experience any of that, they advertise that they had bicycles to go site seeing we were told that they had 12 bicycles but they all needed repairs over a year now. The tinny play park that they have it very fillty and need to be sanitize if kids have to use them. The gazebo by tennis court was so dirty don't think that any of the hotel management has ever been there it was so filthy. I really think due to the fact that this hotel host alot of local the management don't pay attention as any thing goes.

Nice enough. Close to beach

Posted 30-Mar-2016
Nice hotel. Close to the beach but very windy and the beach was not swimmable and quote messy. But the waves and surf were very pretty to watch and listen to. Service at the hotel was bizarre and laid back at best. Frustrating and inefficient at worst. Housekeeping would do a minimum every day. I think I had a half full coffee cup on my desk for 5 days. Food was really expensive. Bellmen were great. Especially William and Kelly. Overall we enjoyed Tobago.

On a windy beach

Posted 29-Mar-2016
Pros: The pools and the location were nice.
Cons: It does need to be updates and the staffing was a little inconsistent. Some people were very nice and helpful, others were a little 'off-hand'
Location: We stayed at the hotel for themost part as it is a little isolated, but a trip to Pigeon Point was great.
The Magdalena is a little tired as a hotel, but he staff is pleasant and helpful. There are good water views from the hotel and beach, but it is a little windy. The wind does help keep the temperature down. You are quite isolated from the rest of Tobago and you need to take taxis anywhere else or to get a flavour of the local culture.

One of the best hotels in tobago

Posted 20-Mar-2016
Pros: Swimmingpool near the water
Cons: Cleaner hotel, cheaper price. Price compared to qualtiy doesn't meet up.
Location: Location is ok
Is a big but old hotel. The actual state of the hotel differs a lot. My bed sheet for example were not changed, I had to ask them.

Nice view of the ocean

Posted 18-Mar-2016
This hotel has the potential to be very beautiful but the grounds are poorly kept. We went with a baby and I asked for boiled water and they sent me limited amounts. The ice makers were broken and the main lobby bathrooms were mediocre with cleaning carts left in them. Overall the trip was ok. Definitely not worth the $

Great escape for relaxation.

Posted 14-Mar-2016
Pros: Peace and quiet and wonderful service.
Cons: Some minor maintenance is needed and a little groundskeeping also.
Location: On site tennis, golf, great gym & pools. The cafe and poolside grill is very convenient. Beaches nearby with free shuttles. Cineplex/shopping closeby.
Excellent staff and the buffet breakfasts and dinners are great. Food quality and variety is excellent. If you need to relax and unwind, this is the place. Quiet rooms and pool/beach areas - no crowds and noise. Lots of amenities and available facilities like tennis, golf and cafes and restaurants.
