Unfriendly Hotel
The Property has exchanged hands and seems they have lost customer friendly people. Except a lady at desk sometimes, all seems to be rude, arrogant and confused. My probably 5th stay in this property and not sure if this is the last one.

The new ownership has improved this hotel to a good standard. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The staff were helpful.

The pictures do not match up to what the hotel looks like. There are 2 different hotels not sure what condition the other hotel is but the one attached to the train station is not as pictured

Have stayed here before so new the hotel, but stated to look tired! The staff were super and very helpful. Handy for all the main facility's i.e. station and town centre shopping etc.

Worse place to stay keep away
The room was not cleaned at all asked daily for it to be done was ignores no clean towels were given we had to keep asking for a towel , breakfast was awful , the hotel is used as a brothel day and night , sex workers and men in and out all the time reception giving them there keys and condoms , reception staff were so rude the assistant manager blonde lady was so rude there was a young man on at night who was polite the only one ,but he was kept busy by the sec workers in and out so service was not great the whole stay was awful I’m totally gutted this trip was ruined

Convenient location
Service of receptionist vary from one to another, one was very friendly and the other one wasn’t friendly and helpful. Hotel is next to Duisburg train station, very convenient.

very Ordinary rooms with no personal touch whatsoever. The cables are floating inside the room. Mine was missing a dustbin, which is a very basic need. Breakfast is available with surcharge.

walls and doors no soundproof
walls are very thin and you can hear every sound in others rooms. Walls and doors are not soundproof. Breakfast was poor. Personal was very kindly. Location is good right near main station

Wanted a hotel in the vicinity having attended the football at night. Perfectly fine, modern interior more than enough room in bedroom and bathroom. Literally a 30 metre walk from the HBF doors. Plenty of choice at breakfast including scrambled and hard boiled eggs with bacon. Speedy check in, and would use again if ever required

Service is inconsistent among staffs
When I checked in I found that my room was at 5/F while the highesst floor the lift can access is 4/F, I have to walk up one floor with my baggage which was very hard. The reception staff helped me to carry the bag from 4/F to 5/F when I told him my arm is injured. The night before I checked out, I requested the receptionist for assistance on the next morning, he told me he will help to carry my bag. Unfortunately, the staff did not show up and no one answer my call at reception, I need to carry my bag down for one floor which hurt my arm again.

This is not a hotel for a two week vacation. If you just want to spend the night close to the train station because you came in on a train and want to go out on a train, it is sufficient. The hotel is clean and quiet. It is close to the downtown area with plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities.

It was my first time at Germany for visiting an exhibition. Although it takes 40mins U train from hotel to exhibition center, but it so convenience for going to airport.

I arrived in early morning and was offered to leave the bags with the reception at no extra cost. However, I was asked to check in in early afternoon. Then, I asked whether it's possible to get a room earlier because I really felt like having a shower after 12 hours of flight plus local transportation.Maybe it's the case for certain hotel chains, but can't you be more flexible if your rooms are available anyway? I am an accor card member and it didn't help....

Not fancy but ideal for (business) travel. Located within seconds from Central Station. Rooms are not large, but very clean and functional. Staff friendly. Free wifi.
