Newburyport on Massachusetts wonderful North Shore is quite delightful &now we have discovered the best possible location for staying overnight, for time to enjoy the Town’s many lures, the ocean at Plum Island, & Parker River National Wildlife Sanctuary — with its all-seasons fauna, fauna, & open waters Especially love Foxes & long-legged wader birds: Great White Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Great Blue Herons, & a delightful assortment of diving sea ducks & dabbler ducks too. Something for everyone. Yet Newburyport town is equally enticing, with its distinctive shops, art galleries, maritime history, varied architecture, and welcoming culture. William Lloyd Garrison was a fierce abolitionist who understood the morally bankrupt enslavement of Black Americans had to end. His activism included publishing “The Liberator” — a tabloid-sized newspaper reporting all activity that would galvanize both Northerners & some Southerners to understand that slavery as an institution must end in the United States, whatever the cost — including four years of Civil War. Goals also included keeping the North and South united together as one nation for mutual benefits, and aiding the Underground Railroad. "
