Excellent boutique hotel, excellent location.

Posted 04-Aug-2017
Pros: The staff was great. There was an elevator & air conditioning. Many hotels in Paris don't have these. The room was clean and beautifully decorated.
Cons: I can't think of any improvements that need to be made. We were very happy with everything, but we didn't eat at the hotel, so can't comment on this.
Location: Location is great! Everything is a 10-15 minute walk, Le Marais, Le Louvre, the Seine, War Museum, Holocaust Museum, shopping and cafes/restaurants.
We stayed for 7 days at this very nice boutique hotel. Staff was very nice and extremely helpful. The only reason I didn't give this hotel an excellent rating is because I don't believe any hotel, even a 5-star hotel, is excellent. Our room was a bit smaller by North American standards, but that's the way it is in Europe. I have no complaints about the size of the room. Plenty of room to walk around the bed, etc. The decor was very nice and our room and bathroom were very clean. We walked almost everywhere, as everything you want to see and do is within a 10-15 minute walk, i.e. Le Louvre, War Museum, Musee de la Shoah, Le Marais, the Seine. The hotel is surrounded by cafes and shops. You can get everything from cafe creme (excellent at Le Pain Quotidien), cocktails, wine, burgers and snacks, up to high-end restaurants (we tried L'Escargot restaurant). I felt very safe in the area, and throughout Paris. We saw army troups in groups of 4, carrying machine guns. Police in groups of 3 were constantly walking the streets and there were patrol cars carrying 3 police officers everywhere. Paris is a beautiful place to visit. I would stay at Le Relais des Halles any time and I highly recommend this hotel for your stay. Merci a tous!!! :-)

I thought the hotel was great! Location was awesome. Restaurants and shops were everywhere. Mall just down the street. Not far from Louvre and other popular attractions.

Pros: The rooms were beautifully decorated with modern bath and shower and staff was helpful and courteous. Great central location in Halles which is an interesting section with many cafes, good restaurants, shops and a metro stop.
Cons: There was nothing not to like. All the enthusiastic reviews about this this place were correct.
Location: within 30 minutes walk of all major attractions in Paris.

Area is close to Notre Dame It comes alive at night with loads of food options Not much in the way of breakfast options around Probably best to take the in house breakfast ( we didn't and struggled to find a decent alternative close by) Shopping - didn't really do a lot but there are shops around. Wouldn't base myself here if shopping is your thing Hotel was great. Very clean very comfortable and welcoming Close to metro and RER.

Great location, great hotel

Pros: Warm welcome. Character filled and comfortable room. Little touches like water in the room daily and fruit in reception. Very quiet.
Cons: No suggestions.
Location: Max 30 minute walks to Louvre, d'Orsay, and Pompidou, plus Notre Dame. Bars, restaurants and cafes all around. Les Halles for shopping.
On arrival we were greeted by Justine. She has perfect English and was extremely helpful - she offered to help with booking, directions, recommendations etc. Room was beautiful - junior suite on 6th floor, great character, comfortable, with plenty of space. Breakfast is in a very cozy basement, but good value for money, including eggs (I had omelette), smoked salmon, ham, fresh cheese, fruit, yogurt, freshly squeezed orange. Location is in the heart of arty Paris - max 30 minute walks to Louvre, d'Orsay, and Pompidou, plus Notre Dame, and surrounded by every type of restaurant, bar and cafe you could hope for. With windows closed, the room was almost silent. I think the rooms have recently been renovated, they felt fresh and clean. An outstanding hotel, deserving of its lofty position in the ratings.
