This hotel is an okay hotel. Don't expect anything extraordinary when you check in. This hotel is good for travelers who come to room just to rest.

Nice location

The location is great... the staff members are friendly but the room not really...the bathroom door doesnt close.. the shower is verry small.. no lift ( fortunately our room was on first floor).... but it worth every penny for the location...otherwise:you pay for a room , you get a room ... verry convenient for people who will spend all the time outside exploring the city.

Best location!

Very friendly helpful staff who speak many languages. Location is in the 1st district. 5-10min walk to Notre-Dame, The Louvre. We stayed in room #61 which is the top floor. Small steep stairs going up. There is a bar/pub right outside the hotel that seemed to have a steady and loud party every night except Sunday, but with all the exploring Paris we were doing it was still easy to fall asleep. If your on a budget and don't want to spend all your money just on a hotel you won't be at much, this one is perfect as the central location saves a lot of travel time on metro or by bus. The nice bakery just around the corner from the hotel was cheap and tasty as well!

A happy place, clean sheets, hot water, friendly!

Great Location!!!! Authentic old Paris building touched by age. Slanted floors, dusty baseboards, small yet clean towels... clean sheets, hot water, privacy, friendly and helpful staff. The classic stairs with old oriental carpet impress Paris authenticity as you come & go in a quaint neighborhood walking distance from the Louvre, Pont Nuef, Notre Dam, Les Halles, the Seine, Sant Michel, the Metro & train and so much more! I brought my dog and he was most welcome, for a few more euros, and I found good places to walk him nearby. Great restaurants, bars, bakeries & shopping are right there. The front desk offers good coffee, breakfast, & a refrigerator if needed. I will stay here again, it's not fancy, but I do not stay in my room in Paris- I'm out looking around- the price is just right!

Bad hotel in a great location and at a great price

Posted 30-Dec-2016
Pros: The location and the price
Cons: Almost everything
Location: It's the heart of Paris, everything is within a short walk, including metro stations
The hotel is really bad. I mean, I never knew hotels could be that bad. It's like someone tried to make it as bad as possible on a bet. Anywhere you turn in your room you find things that are old, disgusting-looking and as if fished out of a dumpster. Add to that a strong chlorine odor which i had to work on getting rid of by keeping the window open for a while at the end of November (and it was cold!) The shower is small even for a slim person, I can't imagine anyone bigger even getting inside. The towels are actually torn and look like mopping rags. The plumbing problems deserve a special review just by themselves... The breakfast room is an underground utility room, don't go for it, you are in Paris, there are other options. However, all that said, I must admit that it is a very affordable (cheap, to be honest) hotel in the very heart of Paris. You are between Rue de Rivoli and Les Halles, Louvre is within 6 minutes walk, in fact everything is within 6 minutes walk. If you are on a budget and want to still enjoy being in the center of this magical city, this hotel is about the only option. As long as you know what to expect. Would be great for students.

Good location, terrible shower

Posted 27-Nov-2016 on Hotels
The hotel is in a great location. 15 minutes to Notre dame, 10 minutes to the Louvre, and easy access to metro stations to get to the Eiffel Tower or Palace of Versailles. The hotel itself is below average on its own. The room is clean, but has some cracks and mold. There is no tv in the room, and electrical sockets are few and are in odd places. The room is tiny, but the bathroom is worse. The bathroom is my biggest complaint of this establishment. The shower is so small that an average person will be touching the shower curtain as they shower. I felt dirty touching the shower curtain as showered.

Must be one of the best located hotels for the price - everything is literally n your door step.
