The best thing is the location. Needs updating

Posted 18-May-2016
Pros: Certainly its location and the free parking area.
Cons: Rooms need to be renovated. Apparently, only the bathroom shows a recent renovation.
Location: The great feature of the hotel. Several nice restaurants and shopping areas all around the hotel.
The hotel location is very good. But it needs to be updated. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, but it is quite noisy. Wi-Fi works well. No breakfast available, but so many nice options nearby.

Stayed 2 nights and it was good

Stayed here, it's as you expect. Good location, not expensive and no extras. Internet was fine, shower had good pressure and free parking. Rooms are basic but clean.

Dear Lauren, Thank you for your review. We appreciate all of our guest's feedback. I apologize for the noise. Unfortunately, that comes with the territory of being right in all the excitement of Hollywood. Other than that, I hope you will consider staying with us again sometime!

Centrally located

Posted 04-May-2016
Pros: Just the location. Price was ok.
It was on the main drag of Hollywood. Close to a Fire Station which ran code 3 calls all night long. The room was dirty and stains all over the walls. Only one towel each in room. Had to ask for extra towels and shampoo. Accommodated covered parking for motorcycle.

Dear Don, Thanks for the review. All of our guest's feedback is greatly appreciated. I am very sorry for the inconvenience of the noise. Unfortunately, it comes with the territory of being in the heart of Hollywood. As for the cleanliness and the amenities, we pride ourselves in being a very clean and well ran business, and so I will look into those matters. Other than that, I hope you enjoyed your stay, and hope you will consider staying with us again sometime.

It did what we needed it to do, but that's it.

Posted 02-May-2016
Pros: Location. Bed was comfortable, no bed bugs, good TV, hot water, good water pressure.
Cons: The rooms need updating. The furniture is really old.
Location: Location is a very short walk to Metro.
The location was what got us to this hotel - short drive to Griffith Park and next to a METRO station. Other than that, I don't think I would bother. The surfaces of the counters and bedside tables were sticky. My key card was actually stuck to the bedside table! The furniture is chipped and it looks like they just keep painting and painting over top. Lots of chips so I'm guessing it should get another layer soon! No plug in where they coffee maker is - very inconvenient but the coffee was so bad it didn't matter anyway.

Checked out after first night

Posted 29-Apr-2016
Bearing in mind this was the first night of a honeymoon trip, I would have to say we were bitterly disappointed with the Dixie- which from the outside looked fun, but the rooms were dingy our room had a lovely view of a very large brick wall about a meter from the window... Which was part of a building site that started at 7am banging about. The room was really dark, and was decorated a dark brown grey colour which made it worse, plus half the lights didn't work. The main source of natural light was from the gap around the door, which when you are on Hollywood Blvd and there are some interesting people outside and a secure front door is essential- which this wasn't. The TV was broken, the plaster was hanging off the wall in parts and the sides were so sticky that everything stuck to them. The only positive was the brilliant attitude of the staff who were all helpful and understanding- they refunded the rest of the stay without qualm.

Close to Hollywood Blvd attractions

Posted 27-Apr-2016
Pros: Room was spacious and bathroom was super clean.
Cons: Had trouble with the cable and people smoking marihuana (we were there on April 1 official Marihuana Day).
Location: Easy to get to Hollywood Blvd attractions, Olvera St., Universal Studies, and great Thai food.
It served it's purpose for with decent accommodations.

Great location but......

Posted 23-Apr-2016
The staff acts as if you are bothering them when you check in. There were 4 ladies sitting in the lobby who looked to be waiting for clients (if you get my drift). Once in the room the toilet was filthy. Lots of scratches and dings on furniture. Most of the maintenance seems to be done by the owners cousin who changed a light bulb once and thinks hes qualified to be a handyman (me being a hotel maintenance engineer). The bed is about as good as a piece of plywood, flat and stiff. With all this adding up I was not impressed. Now i wasnt expecting the ritz carlton I understand this is a budget motel but these are basic things to ensure return customers. I will not be staying here again.

Super Lage!

Posted 23-Apr-2016
4 Nächte sind ok. Der Abfluss im Waschbecken hat gegluckert und gerochen, die WC-Brille war defekt und der Lichtschalter am Zimmereingang war kaputt.
