The best time to go to Lonsdale is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities.During spring, wildflowers are in bloom, and the temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C. This period is excellent for exploring the natural beauty of the surrounding Ouachita Mountains, perhaps with a hike along one of the many trails in the nearby Ouachita National Forest. It's also a good time for fishing in the local rivers and lakes, as the waters are generally calm and clear.Autumn offers similarly agreeable weather, with temperatures between 10°C and 20°C, and the added bonus of stunning fall foliage. The trees in the national forest transform into a spectacular display of reds, oranges, and yellows. This makes it an ideal time for scenic drives, photography, and enjoying outdoor pursuits before the chill of winter sets in.While summer (June to August) can be warm and humid, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C, it's still a popular time for water-based activities like kayaking or swimming in the local lakes.
