Not good sefvice

Arrived early and asked for early check in. Was told we could get in a 1:30. Arrived at 1:00 and was told that room was not available yet and they would call. No call came back at 2:30 and room still not available. Took a downgrade room just to get in.

I didn't get to stay the full time in the hotel due to running around. However the few hours I got were definitely worth it. I look forward to returning soon and possibly staying longer.

I make my reservation with hotel.com paying with my paypaly account. When I arrived at the hotel they charge me again to my credit card the full charge. I reclaimed in the Check out and front desk tells me that it would be refound from the agency in 3 to 5 Days. I think it would be a lot easier if they just refound me in the total amount becaused before I came in the stay was al ready pay. I would not recomended Never. I haven't received yet the reemboursment and it's a week already sense I make the check out.

We stayed here to visit Stony Brook University with all family. The free breakfast included fresh orange, apple and Melon as well as Waffle and Bagel. Free wifi and easy access to Shopping mall.

Pros: The staff were amazing. This was my favourite part of the whole (very positive) experience.
Cons: I would consider a shuttle service to/from Stony Brook campus to be a MAJOR attractor for those visiting the University who do not rent cars.
Location: Three restaurants and a cinema within walking distance of the hotel.
I attended a conference at Stony Brook University and did not find space at the campus hotel, so I ended up booking a room at the Holtsville Residence Inn. The room was enormous and immaculate, there was good variety at breakfast, and there were a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Most importantly, staff were spectacular: everybody I talked to was professional, helpful and extremely friendly! The price was excellent value for money. My only wish was that they would increase the 5-mile radius of their shuttle service to include one stop at Stony Brook University, say in front of the campus hotel, where one can take a bus to other points on campus. I ended up taking a taxi to/from campus and this got pretty expensive, as each one-way trip costed approximately $25. Would definitely go back (with a rented car)!
