Good Hotel

Pros: Location, bar, and how the staff were very professional
Location: Good location for my work visits and excellent restaurants nearby.
Great staff and location for anything on Long Island.

I like it warm and good!

Pros: The ambience
Cons: Nothing! Well maybe through a house party for all guess mid week .
Location: Out the main front parking lot go left to red light then right onto route 110 everything is there
Overall everything was top notch a grand looking place to stay. The pool was very nice with a two story waterfall. You can look down into the pool from the lobby floor. There are umbrella cabana type tables around the pool and a very picturesque bridge for that perfect picture backdrop. The foyer was grand and extremely large with two restaurants with great food an bar for that favorite beverage. The on sight Avis car rental managed by Evett who was very helpful to me in finding local places. The entire staff was great and helpful as well as the doorman helpful and friendly. There is also on sight ballrooms where a couple of Weddings took pace over the weekend. There's free parking and room service too! The only draw back for me was I like my room temp to be about 77` I had my 91 year old Mom with me and she needs the heat as well. I found the room thermostat would stay at about 75 but under the covers it was all good. I would stay here in a heart beat without any hesitation. Its close to all kinds of shopping off of route 110 I'm sure you can find cheaper! But you deserve better, this place fit the bill for me my kind of place.

Construction

I was in a connecting room and you can literally hear the conversations from the other room while the TV is on and you're in the bathroom with the door closed. They need to work on sound proofing that!

My exeperience was less than pleasing and the only thing that saved it was the wonderful customer service of the hotel staff. My boyfriend and myself booked a king sized bed through Expedia and that is not what we got. When checking in the front desk employee said “usually when you book through Expedia, the website chooses the first available room possible” so on our romantic weekend we ended up with a small double room that we were crammed into and made sleep hard. Then when we get to the room, STAINS EVERYWHERE! The sheets, the bedside lamp shade, the ceiling and the walls! There were cracks everywhere in the ceiling and walls. The bathroom was the worst by far! The shower was already small but there was a good awful moldy, discolored shower seat in there that wouldn’t stay up and took 90% of the shower space. This cause water to go EVERYWHERE and soaked the bathroom. the only thing that went right that weekend was the courteous staff at the restaurant. They were very kind and made wonderful conversation. Will that change my mind about going back? Not a chance.

The servers at the bar/restaraunt were very cheerful and helpful! Food was excellent and service was fast! The people at the front desk were also very helpful and nice. I was extremely happy with my stay.

Horrible Experience

They tried three rooms. Finally checked into a fourth room after 2.5 hours of inconvenience. First room had a piece of broken lightbulb on the floor of the shower. The light obviously didn’t work. There were unknown (use imagination) stains on the couch and blood and sweat stains on the blanket. Second room had no air conditioning. Third room had no air conditioning, a hole in the bathroom ceiling and mildew all around the door. Additionally, after this, I felt the need for a drink and a bite to eat. I went down to the bar and aside from the bartender having barely any knowledge of the menu, they brought me out the most disgusting sandwich. What was supposed to be siracha chicken breast was actually 3 deep fried chicken tenders (supermarket frozen food section grade) smothered in a messy blob of mystery sauce. The sandwich did not resemble the description on the menu. When I asked the bartender what his top selling sandwich was, he told me it was a Reuben. Someone needs to train Michael on the menu. I have already requested refund for this experience.

Property, staff, and pool are amazing! We have family in Long Island, so will definetly be back to Hilton when visiting!
