Anywhere Else Is Better Than Here

Posted 04-May-2016
Pros: I enjoyed the fact that this establishment has a DirecTV package with plenty of channels, unlike most hotels.
Cons: Slacking in customer service, breakfast is mediocre at best, needs improvement in professionalism of staff.
Location: Beautiful, quiet location. Kind of upscale, I suppose, but perfect family-friendly environment.
Days Inn is not exactly a place I'd recommend. Being a two star hotel, we did not expect five star treatment or five star provisions. But while staying here for as long as we did, we noticed that there were clearly many things that needed fixing. The breakfast was okay, I suppose. But if I were you, I wouldn't get too excited about their options. The orange juice was frankly disgusting and many of the food options, such as the sausages and eggs, were not cooked thoroughly. But, for what it's worth, it wasn't too horrible. One of the staff members was particularly condescending in her mannerisms and did not show much interest in the basic contentment of her customers. She also came off as quite abrasive and curt in each and every encounter with her. However, the Assistant General Manager was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the entire duration of our stay. He was very kind in assisting us and his customer service was impeccable. The rooms were basic, not the greatest and not the worst. Overall, unless you're stopping in for a night of sleep before getting back on the road, I wouldn't recommend this place.

The Days Inn was clean and had a nice bed. However, the buildings are older and the parking is too close together. I didn't eat the breakfast, because they didn't have non-dairy milks (either almond or soy). The price and location are good though, so I would recommend it to someone who wants a budget place to stay in a nice area.

Comfortable, close to venue and well-priced

Posted 08-Apr-2016
Pros: Comfortable bed, clean and comfortable bathroom facilities
Cons: I had to pay an extra $10 for a king size instead of a double... and I've never had to pay extra for the size bed before! And why not a queen ?
Location: The Paramount Theater is close by
This Woodbury hotel was close enough to the venue in Huntington, very clean and comfortable. The night staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and personable, though the morning staff was not as attentive.

Very nnice hotel and it was centrally located.

Pros: Clean
Cons: The handicapped room was good. The shower was great. The only thing was that the beds were too high for a handicapped person to get into .
Location: Very centrally located to all highways and stores.
Mom & Dad stayed here. The electric went out in their house due to a a storm in the area. I was in Florida. I called Days Inn and Michael arranged everything. My parents are elerly and they needed a handicapped room. Michael did a great job in setting it up. I Was releived that even though I was in Florida someone was setting things up for my parents and I didnt have to worry. He did a great job.

Will not Stay Again

Not a great stay. Check in was slow, no heat in lobby, and the parking lot did not get plowed or sanded on a snowy night.

Price should be a quarter of what it is!

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Every single thing
Location: Location is good.
Traveled a lot, and have come to learn not to believe what I see and read on internet. entered an antiquated designed, uncomfortable room. Fill in the rest...
