Great location for sightseeing

Posted 13-Oct-2016
Pros: Great location within the city walls
An overnight stay whilst touring Northern Ireland. Half day sightseeing in Londonderry. Had an evening meal and breakfast in the hotel, both were good. Thought that the cost of the evening meal was very reasonable.

Great location and nice view of medieval wall.

Posted 28-Sep-2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Lots of shopping, medieval wall and sites along that. Also within walking distance of the Peace Bridge.
We were in a great location next to the medieval wall. We parked in the hotel parking area and didn't have to move our car until we left. We walked around town and all along the medieval wall. We had an amazing room with great views. The staff was friendly and even made an effort to check in with us to see if we were satisfied with the room. We went to the hotel restaurant and ordered food to take back to our room as we were tired. They put it on a tray and put covers on the plates so it would stay hot for us.

Primo Location Within the City Walls

Posted 14-Sep-2016
Pros: The location and helpful staff.
Cons: The only thing I would do would be to up a more comfortable armchair in the room.
Location: Within walking distance to almost everything: the walls, Bogside Murals, Guild Hall, and the Peace Bridge.
The staff is very welcoming and the hotel is easy to find once you get into the city walls. The location is excellent. There is a certain positive vibe about being within the city walls. The hotel is just around the corner from Butcher's Gate which is a great place to start walking the walls. It is also easy to walk to Guild Hall, where you can catch a Hop-on, Hop-off tour, and near a very well stocked Poundland Store. Everything costs one pound! Also within walking distance of some great places to eat and drink. Breakfast is excellent.

Our one night stay was very good. Hotel needs a little updating of carpeting, but otherwise was fine. Staff could not have bee friendlier.

Central to Londonderry

Posted 24-Aug-2016
Pros: Close location to historic Londonderry.
Cons: A fridge would have been handy
Location: Right next to the Derry Wall which provides a good walk around the historical centre and easy walking distance to Free Derry Corner and its Murals.
Great location with easy access to the Derry Wall and other sightseeing sights, cafes and restaurants.

Central location right next to the historic wall

Posted 29-Jul-2016
Pros: Location was great
Location: Plenty of museums within 5 minutes walk as well as being right next to the historic wall. Only a short walk to the river and also the shops were close
Had a fantastic stay. Would highly recommend the hotel both for location, facilities and for the friendly very helpful staff. Close to shops and all amenities and also very close to all of the locations we wanted to visit. People from the city were very friendly and helpful and also a good location to use as a base to visit other sights such as the Giants Causeway which are a bit further out.

choose a more modern room if staying at the hotel

Posted 23-Jul-2016 on Hotels
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. If I stayed here again I would prefer to stay in the more modern rooms. We were in the boardroom. Apart from the room being extremely spacious (ideal for families) we found it a little dark and it overlooked an office block. The room would have been better if it had had some voil curtains for privacy so you could open the normal curtains without everybody looking in. My son stayed in the more modern room and it was lovely. No iron in the room though. Great location for shopping!
