I admit, I was pretty nervous about this hotel. My husband and I were spending a week in London, and it was our first time. The range of prices is huge, and I wanted to stick to a budget, but this seemed too extreme to be true.
I picked this hotel primarily for the location to Paddington Station, expecting we would take the tube and also the Heathrow Express to the airport. We never did take the underground (used Uber) but it was great for the Express, we got to the airport in under 30 minutes very easily.
Location was great, lots of little restaurants nearby and a Tesco across the street. No shortage of food at any price range.
It was clean and modern. If you've ever been to Tokyo, you'll understand, these are tiny rooms! But they were clean and cute and we expected this.
Slight drawbacks: I booked two separate beds, the receptionist confirmed this when checking in, then got into a room with one bed. Was too tired to go back and change the room, not the end of the world, I'm sure they would've fixed it had I said something. The beds are very very very firm. We ended up sleeping on top of the comforter. Other drawback, EVERY TIME you go back into the room the AC/Heater thing turns on automatically. So annoying, but you could turn it off.. The room could sometimes get hot, so thank goodness we had a little window to crack, as we hate AC, it's too dry and loud. I don't think I'd stay in a windowless room.
I'll be back to this hotel, we loved it otherwise!
