Really nice hotel

Posted 01-Jan-2016
We arrived at the hotel just after 11am and requested to store our luggage at the hotel until the the 2pm check in time. The hotel receptionist informed us that there was a room available right away to save us putting our bags in storage and coming back later to check in. This saved us time and was really appreciated. We found the staff to be very pleasant and welcoming. The room looked lovely and we made the most of the robes and slippers provided in the room. On our arrival we noticed the Marco Pierre White, Oyster Bar and Grill was located next door and could be accessed through the hotel. We were able to book and table that afternoon and dined there that evening. We would highly recommend both the restaurant and the hotel. We would definitely consider booking this hotel again for our next trip.

Beautiful Hotel

Posted 30-Dec-2015
It was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in (& I stayed in the savoy 2 years ago). The staff were lovely, the room was very clean and comfortable. I took my 2 girls.age 3 &11 & thought I might feel a little out of place in such a sophisticated hotel but never once did I feel this way. Everything about the hotel was lovely & the added bonus was the 'Marco Pierre White restaurant which had a very good choice of lovely dishes.

Wonderful hotel in an excellent location

Posted 02-Dec-2015
We were passing through London on our way home and had one day/night to enjoy the city. I always look for hotels with boutique qualities of amenities, historic buildings, a sense of uniqueness and a bit of quirkiness. Threadneedles met my requirements. The room was great...queen bed, nicely laid out. Lots of extras. Reviews I had read about the size being small...I don't get that. It was fine for two people. The only thing was we did not have a view, but I knew that going in. I don't take off marks for that in this case, as I was not promised a view. The bathroom put the room review into the 5+ stars range. Huge, well designed, separate shower, towel heating bars. My only complaint is inadequate light directly over the sink. The reception area and lobby were decorated for the holidays, and very comfortable. The staff on check in and check out were friendly and helpful with recommendations, arranging for taxis, checking our bags...a delight. We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was delicious...again the staff were wonderful. The location of the hotel in the financial district was perfect for sightseeing...Tower, London Bridge, St. Paul's, the Guild, all within easy walks.

Excellent Hotel in the City

Posted 30-Nov-2015
Pros: Proximity to the financial district, staff, room facilities
Cons: nothing
Location: It's a business hotel rather then a tourist hotel however as the tube is very close the opportunity to visit the many London attractions
I would rate this hotel o's one of the best I've stayed in the City- it's location is perfect for the business travellers- Bank tube station around the corner (DLR to City Airport)- abundance of restaurants and convenience to the financial district. If you need to visit Canary Wharf the DLR is at Bank tube station. It's a boutique hotel 'feel' with everything very new- staff extremely attentive and welcoming. The main entrance is not the typical Marriott's style - the doors from strret level are level which open to a beautiful atrium. Definitely I'll be back.

Vi hadde en fin weekend i London med familien. Sentral beliggenhet nær Bank og Liverpool Metro. Hyggelig betjening og god service.

Great base for business or pleasure

Nice hotel; despite being in "The City" and the neighbourhood being pretty dead at night and the weekends, the close proximity to Bank tube station and bus routes means you can get most places in London pretty quickly. You can actually walk to St Paul's and the South Bank (Millennium Bridge, Tate Modern etc.) in around 20 minutes.
