Not a great experience 1star I’m afraid
So at arrival we were told the hotel was at 35% capacity so why put us in a rubbish room on the 2nd floor with not only no view, but the internal view was very dark meaning you needed lights on at all times. Next we tried to book the SPA. Thinking such low capacity we thought getting a space would be no problem. Not so. No room at the SPA for the whole week, as it’s members of the NED club had booked in advance. So in the evening we venture into the bar. Get totally ignored - a table of 4 ladies waltz in and get served. I complained and the manager apologised and in fairness gave us a round on the house. Breakfast came - eggs royal - should be good. Unfortunately not. The poached eggs had been pre-cooked and hence were cold. Muffins cold. And then the smoked salmon had obviously just been taken from the fridge meaning it was freezing. All in all the NED was massively disappointing. I hate leaving a review like this but at this time hotels should be upping their game. I paid £400 for the night and I won’t be going back.
