needs an upgrade

Kettle did not work, nor the phone, the ice machine on the 6th floor did not work. The lobby was beautiful, but the rooms were disappointing given the price.

Great location

This hotel is in a great location. Clean room with friendly staff. We had dinner at Boyd's and it was delicious. We would definitely stay here again. This was our second stay. You can get great coffee at the Pret a Manger at the end of the street next to the Tesco.

Good value great accessibility

The Grand afforded us the opportunity to walk to all of our destinations during our whirlwind London vacation. Courteous and helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms as well as compete rates (for London) made our stay most enjoyable.

centralt, enestående placeret og nemt tilgængelig

Posted 10-May-2016
Pros: Placeringen og den nemme adgang.
Location: Gåafstand til soho, westminster og Coventgarden , samt meget mere.
Behagelig stemning på hotellet, hvor personalet var meget hjælpsomt og rengøringen i top.

All the little details right

Posted 09-May-2016
I was quite impressed with this place, especially the little things you can't get from a star rating: - The shower was great even by American standards - and spectacular by European standards. - There are USB jacks on the bedside table to charge your devices while you sleep. Most hotels still don't get how important this is, but they do. - Not only is there free wifi but, remarkably, it doesn't time out once a day and stop working mysteriously until you realize you need to re-accept the terms and conditions. It's like being at home - you connect to the wifi and you have wifi, done. - The location is great, between two tube stops and a stone's throw from the river. Overall there was nothing that annoyed me, and I'm easily annoyed.

You get what you pay for.

Nice hotel, but because we were paying the reduced rate through Expedia what we got was a closet, not a room. The bathroom door only opened 45° before it hit the bed. On the other side of the bed there was maybe 10 inches to the wall. Technically speaking there was a window but no daylight. It looked on to a brick wall 2 feet away. Won't book through Expedia again.
