The property was well staffed with an adequate number of employees at reception desk and house keeping. Reception desk staff were pleasant, appeared to be well trained and responsive to requests in a timely manner. The restaurant needed at least one more staff member on duty to handle the number of customers during breakfast and dinner hours and would not accept cash, only credit cards. I would have preferred the option to pay cash for small orders like a cup of tea or a cocktail. The hotel has been recently renovated with modern fixtures in the rooms and bathrooms, window coverings, heating and air conditioning, new flooring, paint, a reasonable number of electrical outlets, and updated furnishings in the rooms, lobby and restaurant. The rooms were small but had extra touches like sweets and a welcome message upon arrival, books, tea and coffee, tea cups and espresso cups, wine glasses, and a bottle of water provided each day. There was also a stocked mini-bar with snacks for purchase. The hotel lobby and corridors were well lit and the lifts were separated from the guest room corridors by doors which made the corridors much more quiet. The hotel is a half a block away from a tube station with many nearby places to eat, get coffee, pharmacy and small grocery store. We enjoyed our stay.
