Perfect location and fantastic hotel staff

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Pros: The service and Scarfe's bar
Cons: AC needs updating
Location: Museums, shopping and restaurants
The mark of great service at a great hotel is not, in my opinion, perfection. After all equipment fails and mistakes happen. How a hotel recovers from problems and attends to their customers is what discriminates good from great. The Rosewood is a great hotel. We arrived on the 17th and received a warm greeting and shown our room. We noticed it was quite hot and were told that this would improve. Well, this did not improve and over the next couple of nights we struggled to sleep in our hot room. The hotel did everything it could to correct the problem, but nothing really worked until the day we left. The service manager was very apologetic, gave us a discount off of our stay and a free future night at the Rosewood. In the end we were won over and the other fantastic features of the hotel (Scarfe's Bar, the food and the premium service) made up for the problems. We would definitely stay there again, but next time maybe on a lower floor (not as hot!)

You want to stay here.

Central location. The most comfortable bed I have ever found in a hotel. Excellent dining options -- esp The Mirror Room. My only minor criticism would be that there may have been too many staff members attempting to assist with check-in, which is certainly better than a long wait. I feel obligated to say more about their amazing Mirror Room Restaurant. I was completely blown away by the elegance of the space and the quality of the meal. Don't be scared away by the brevity of the chef's rather conceptual menu - the portions are not at all minimalist and the flavorful results of the herbal "themes" associated with each dish are unexpectedly bold and delicious. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent wine pairing suggestions which elevated the meal to a most memorable status indeed. Don't skip the dessert course - you will be depriving your mouth of a great reward.

Best Hotel

Posted 18-Sep-2016
The Rosewood London is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Main touristic sites were close by. The britsh museum , picadilly circus, soho restaurants, theaters, are all a short walk away. An underground train station and a grocery store literally arround the corner. The staff are very polite and concierge/front desk extremely helpful. I paid for the rooms that included breakfast and we were given breakfast in the room as an option WHICH WAS AMAZING. I can't see myself coming to London and not staying here again. This place is ideal for a family or romantic vacation.

Very Nice Hotel

Good Location & best bedding. Their laundry service is quick. Nice & kind staffs. Good food. Mirror Room dining is good place. But I don't recommend to stay long time. Because their windows are all locked. And window view is not good.

Very bad concierge

Posted 05-Sep-2016
Conciege dont know anything about restaurants and nigth life ! Very bad knowledges about London's trendy restaurants and bars. I think that they send the guest of the hotel maybe to get commission from restaurants. I hope I m making mistake. I went 3 times and 3 times they sent me in the worst places , cheap and far. But really I was not happy about the service, even the waitress of the scarfe Bar wasnt be nice and kind. So I hope they will change their atitud. Because is really nice hotel.

Wonderful hotel in great location.

The Rosewood is a very nice hotel. Large rooms, luxurious accommodations, nice big bathrooms and a wonderful staff. The lobby is so beautiful you want to spend an hour just sitting in it. The location in Holborn only a block from a Tube Station and very close to Russell Square and the British Museum is great. I highly recommend it.
