Nice hotel but cleaning & service could be better

Stayed for the night after a day at the races. The room was comfortable but there was a sweet stuck to the floor which must have been left by a previous guest. We went down for a swim and there were a large number of empty cups and water bottles around the pool which hadn't been cleaned up. Food in the evening was quite nice but waiting staff were new to the job and we had to request soup spoons and my friend who ordered steak did not get a steak knife. Giving the hotel another try for my wife's birthday next month (as we are going to the races) so hope for a better stay this time...

Day at the races followed by an evening and night at the hotel. Hotel restaurant fully booked so we went into Lingfield for a curry at the Bengal Village. Couldn't have been happier with our stay

Stayed 1 night for a special occasion just after Christmas. Booked this hotel because of the pool & spa facilities. Sauna and Pool area is great, though the steam room could do with being hotter. Spa sessions were fully booked, though we only saw 1 therapist the whole day, which isn't enough for a Spa Hotel. Nice room overlooking the racecourse. Had booked for dinner, however, was told in the evening there was a problem with the gas supply and they couldn't do a menu service. Instead there was a buffet of salads and what looked to be oven heated frozen food - It wasn't great. Breakfast was just about ok, though nothing special and could have been a better selection. Check-in & check-out took ages, as apparently their computers kept hanging.

I booked this hotel for a business trip, due to the good value of rooms for the services provided aswell as being situated just a few miles from my works location. The rooms were well presented and very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The main restaurant doesn't serve food till 7pm, so I used the time I had to wait by using the health and fitness facilities. These were of a high standard, clean pool and hot tub, the showers were a little bit tired and in need of a makeover, but other than this the facilities were a fantastic treat at the end of a busy day. The restaurant attached to the hotel had a very tempting menu for all courses available, and I couldn't fault the food I chose and all at a reasonable price for the quality. Would highly recommend and would definitely return when I next need to stay in the area.

Booked due to a cancelled flight from London City being rescheduled to Gatwick. Arrived an hour after booking and reservation was ready. Staff were welcoming, attentive and very helpful. As our flight was the first out, we had a room call, staff had booked a taxi for us. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Had dinner at 1030pn when we arrived and it was freshly cooked, delicious and we have no complaints.

C'est la 4eme fous que nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel, et une fois de plus nous y avons passé un excellent moment. Idéal pour aller à Londres ( via le train), génial pour les ballades en campagne anglaise loin des sentiers battues.
