Lovely hotel, handy for transport.

Posted 29-Mar-2017
Pros: We liked the look of the hotel, the staff and the location.
Cons: In the bathroom the 'mixer' shower fixed low down on the wall, we had to hold whilst showering. 2nd shower fixed higher on wall but not working.
Location: Location was excellent as in a quiet 'residential' area across from Hyde Park but excellent public transport very close to hand.
The hotel was lovely and well maintained. The staff were professional but also very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food at the hotel was excellent and myself and my (very fussy) son enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal on our first night in the hotel, with not a morsel left by either of us...rare indeed in my son's case (age 12)! The location was good for us and in a location where we felt safe, not in the centre but close enough to transport links to make it very accessible for all attractions and so close to Hyde Park...FAB!

Great location

Posted 24-Mar-2017
Pros: The breakfast was lovely, service in the restaurant was excellent, the staff were lovely and friendly.
Cons: If a customer opens the window in the room, please leave it alone, they are obviously too warm.
Location: The hotel is right opposition Kensington gardens and in walking distance of Paddington which has some great bars and restaurants.
We stayed in this hotel in March 2017, the hotel itself was lovely, the room was a great size with a good shower, however the room was really really warm, so we turned off the heating and opened the window to cool it down and went out for the day, when we came back room service had closed the window and put the heating back on, both myself and my husband can't sleep in a warm room, it took a while to cool the room back down. We could not activate the air conditioning.

Spent 7 days with a third floor room and daily breakfast. Reasonable variety of hot and cold for breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.. Location very good for London attractions and OK for airport access. Quiet location only one block from Hyde Park and a main street

Very nice hotel

Posted 22-Mar-2017
Cons: Get real heinz ketchup, change evening menu
Location: Very close to kensington palace. Train station. Swan pub
Very nice hotel, has an elevator, very clean, fresh looking. Staff very nice. Very nice breakfast, hot or cold available. Gave 4stars instead of 5 because of bath tub was very high to get in and out of for a shower. And the dinner for evening wasn't nice, very expensive for frozen meals warmed up. And don't have real heinz ketchup for breakfast, not sure what they use, awful! But that was quite minor really. I would go back and recommend to anyone else

First trip to London

The hotel was fine. Walls were a little thin. Noise was only an issue the last night. Had a large group of students, but only the last night of our stay. Quiet neighborhood.

A Bit Weathered

Posted 18-Mar-2017
Located in a charming neighborhood, this hotel seems lovely from the lobby. How dissapointed we were once we entered our room! It looked like it was a small conference room turned into a bedroom. Very large - 2 twin beds and a double bed (disgusting linens)- for only 2 of us! It was a basement room with minimal sunlight. No fresh air and very musty. Let's not even discuss the bathroom-moldy shower curtain. I'd either ask for another room (not a basement room) or just stay elsewhere.

Park Life

Posted 13-Mar-2017
Pros: I really liked the location , presentation and the price of this hotel for a central London stay close to the Parks.
Location: The location of the hotel is really good, just by Kensington Gardens. very easy to walk to Hyde Park and the tube is less than 5 minutes walk away .
The Outside decor to the Hotel is very Grand, set amongst white terracing and situated parralel to Bayswater Road , I found this to be a concenient and easily accessible location. The hotel itself was in pristine condition with a functional room and there is also a small bar. Bar prices were decent and in keeping with what you would expect to pay in London. I found that the staff were very helpful and pleasant with thier assistance.
