Bathroom was horrendous

Posted 11-Aug-2016
The shower had mould around it, they included a bath mat which was a disgusting colour and had mould under it. The shower head was broken, the floor tiles had old water and mould seeping through the gaps when I stepped on a tile, the curtains were broken and also the toilet seat was broken. Not what I had imagined absolutely disgusting!!

Convenient for motorway yet still quiet

Posted 06-Aug-2016
Only problem was finding the hotel. The road is split in two by the motorway - my sat nav took me to the wrong part - a sign from the motorway roundabout would have helped.

Stayed here so could queue for Wimbledon

Posted 12-Jul-2016
Staff couldn't do enough for us, hotel didn't seem too busy either. Only £15 in an Uber cab to Wimbledon tennis, much better than paying silly prices for Wimbledon hotel. Only issue was there was no water in the hotel room, so had to phone room service a few times to get some sent up. Apart from that, all good.

Fine for a couple of nights!

Posted 04-Jul-2016
Pros: Good food in the restaurant. Reasonable prices for London.
Cons: Once again THE LIFT was not working. Furnishings are a little dated but there was a notice in the corridor stating that renovations were due to take p
Location: On a very busy road between Croydon and Purley so there was quite a lot of traffic noise.
Somewhere to stay while we were renovating our daughter's house. Pleasant staff ready to assist. no problem changing rooms. We needed to go down to Reception twice for a TV handset to worth the TV and on our second day there we needed to go to get tea and coffee etc.

Convenience and Affordable

Posted 04-Jul-2016
From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out was a memorable experience of ease and deliciousness. 5 stars to Harry and his team Sofia and rest. Only minor complaint was the mattresses where a bit soft but after speaking to Harry he found another room for us with harder mattresses. Great service.

Like staying with Poirot

Posted 26-May-2016 on Hotels
A fascinating building, with much history. Room a little cramped, but this no doubt stems from the same history. A very good, comprehensive breakfast, though the coffee was not of the best. Very friendly staff, though there was a small issue with billing.

Faulty Towers is alive and well

Posted 25-May-2016 on Hotels
This was a joke from start to finish. Waited 30 mins for them to make 2 singles into a double bot all they did was push them together and put a sheet on - the 2 singles were to wrong way round to be bolted together. Shower had been repaired with tape and leaked everywhere. Room was dirty, needed vacuuming and I had to wipe tea stains off bathroom shelves before I could use them. Tried to buy a beer at bar - clueless staff. Was promised room service in 40 mins but it too 90. Room next to busy junction so very noisy.

It was a great short stay! Make sure you know about your transport if you aren't driving there!
