Quiet hotel .

Posted 21-May-2017
Pre- Booked a king room , but was told all had been taken by earlier guests & would have to have a double, after 2 minutes of arguing & asking for a reduction in costs miraculously they found 2 for us , quiet considering next to south terminal , £25 for over nite parking a rip off though!

Location to airport

Posted 20-May-2017
Pros: see above
We had never traveled to this area of the world & didn't have knowledge of distances between airport & accomodations. Having stayed in Marriott hotels, we had experience with excellent facilities so after some checking decided this was the place that fulfilled our needs Good choice!

Gatwick airport hotel

Posted 18-May-2017
A very genorous space for England. Easy transport between airport and hotel. The menu in the restaurant is lacking interesting food but at least there is a restaurant.

WE use the hotel on a regular basis

Posted 14-May-2017
Pros: It's convenience to Gatwick. The fact we can leave the car.
Cons: Utilise some of the reception area to make the bar bigger.
Location: It's an airport hotel. A place to stay pre or return from your journey. It does very well what it says in the brochure.
The hotel is within walking distance of the terminal. You can leave the car whilst you are away. It is always easy to book. The rooms are very good. The bar area is small and can be noisy. The food is fine. The veggie burger is very good indeed. The breakfast is excellent. Will we use it again of course we will. No problem.

Uncomfortable bed

Posted 14-May-2017
Pros: Nothing
First the staff is unfriendly at the reception. I have booked a King size when I went to the room they gave me a double bed so I had to come down again to ask the unfriendly person . I chose this hotel because I wanted to be close to Gatwick airport so I don't have to wake up too early, big mistake. I couldn't sleep the whole night, the bed was so uncomfortable. Breakfast forget about it, it was another mistake since I was hungry so basically it waste of your money, nothing nice to eat. I'm a frequent traveler so comfort of the bed is the most important for me, in this case it was a deception.

Rude staff not worth the money

Posted 09-May-2017
The hotel staff were the least helpful people we encountered since our 14 day trip across Europe. After checking in, I asked about a wifi password, I was informed by the front desk clerk that it was simple and I just had to follow the instructions. What he failed to mention is that it is £7.50 for basic internet. That would have been nice to know when I asked. Also, room amenities are not as they are advertised. We did not have a blow dryer or iron in our room. When we called down to the front desk to ask about this they said they could have them up within 90 minutes, which did us no good because we had to be out of the hotel to catch our flight in 90 minutes. The breakfast buffet, don't waste your money on it. £12.50 per person is extremely expensive for the less than average buffet. Over cooked eggs, toasters that don't work, and not a great selection. Save the time and money and just eat at the airport. Much better options. Overall, this was the worst experience I have ever had at a Marriott. I would never stay here again. Do yourself a favour and book at any of the other 4 hotels near the airport.

Close to airport

Hotel is right by airport with a shuttle that only costs 3 euro. Nice quality hotel. Hotel staff was a little snotty but so were most people we interacted with.
