Quiet hotel right beside airport

Posted 28-May-2016
Cons: Unfortunately they charge for internet and airport shuttle.
Location: Easy walk to south terminal.
Didn't hear airplanes at all despite being right under the flight path.

pleasant hotel but a little distance from airpiort

Posted 26-May-2016
Pros: the size of the room and furnishings and comfortable beds
Cons: the staff could be less robotic and be more communicative a fridge will round out the facilities and the scale can be a gift to its customers .
Location: the hotel is not easy walking from the terminal especially the north terminal at gatwick.
hotel is clean comfortable and very well furnished except it has no fridge.the reception staff is efficient without being friendly ,will answer questions without volunteering any information.we were told access to internet was follow menu on tv for instructions when this did happen we were told had to sign up to be a member to access very frustrating experience.the hotel is expensive so be prepared even to weigh our luggage will cost you

Courtyard Marriot

Posted 23-May-2016
Pros: Everything
Perfect location for travelling when using Gatwick airport. We dropped our bags off at the hotel which gives you 30 minutes free parking, upgraded my king size room to a junior suite for an extra 15 pounds. The staff are very friendly and obliging. We then filled our rental car up with petrol, the garage just around the corner and then dropped the car off at the car rental drop off which was too easy and then walked back to the hotel which took about ten minutes. By the time we got back to the Courtyard our suite was ready for us with new sheets and blankets for the pull out couch. Cracked a bottle of red and voila, all done. Thanks, a great one nights stay.

Nice Hotel with a great view

Posted 11-May-2016
Pros: Nice location and good staff
Cons: The internet connection in our room was not consistent and we had go down to the lobby or lounge. The pillows on the bed were too small
Location: Great location to touring around the Glasgow area. A little too far out if you are going into Glasgow everyday
The staff were friendly and helpful. We were in Glasgow to visit relatives and did not use the dining room for meals other than breakfast, purchase the breakfast before hand and save a few pounds. Nice big room with a couple of chairs to sit in and relax at the end of a busy day.

Comfortable hotel, convenient for the airport.

Posted 30-Apr-2016
Pros: See above.
Cons: Not much.
Location: Gatwick Airport. Get on (or off) an aeroplane.
Our room was upgraded from the one we booked. It was quiet & comfortable. We arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning so cannot comment on the restaurant facilities. The bar was somewhat expensive - but what would you expect to find when there is a 'captive audience'? Overnight parking at the hotel is expensive - almost half of what we paid for the room - so we parked in the Gatwick South Terminal long stay car park (5-10 minutes walk) where the cost for eight nights was less than the hotel quoted for two nights. We had a problem with the TV in the room: After we changed channels once, it would no longer respond to the remote control. We reported the matter to the reception desk and someone was there to fix it within half an hour. The staff were pleasant, polite and helpful.

Comfortable hotel

Posted 26-Apr-2016
Pros: Convenience to Gatwick airport.
Cons: Nothing to say about this.
Location: Location excellent for the airport. I used it only to stay overnight so was not interested in other activities nearby.
A very comfortable and well-maintained hotel with amenities within easy walking distance of Terminal 2 at Gatwick Airport. Reception is open 24/7 which makes it very convenient to book in at any time and the staff are attentive and helpful. The facilities are very good and the rooms clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Very cheap beds

Posted 25-Apr-2016
Very cheap low quality mattress led to virtually no sleep. Had a better bed in student halls

Close to airport

Posted 22-Apr-2016
Good hotel for flights from Gatwick. Walking distance to the airport although when arriving by train it is a bit difficult to find as there are no signs at the station or when leaving the airport.
