    About this property

Contemporary Studio Flat Close to Battersea Park

This beautifully presented contemporary studio flat is just 1 minute walk from Battersea Park and a short walk from the Thames. There is a separate mezzanine area with a double bed with a skylight window for nocturnal sky gazing (the window has a blackout blind too). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need. It's wonderfully quiet and is overflowing with contemporary art. There is a bike hire station just 20 seconds away, perfect for a cycle to Battersea Park or over the bridge to Chelsea and the King's Road. The space: The flat is a new renovation. Everything is brand new and beautifully finished. No one lives there when it's not rented out so it's not full of the usual clutter, just the things you need to enjoy your stay. Please note: As you can see from the pictures, the head height in the sleeping area is limited so it's not possible for tall people to stand up fully. However, it means that sleeping areas is a lovely cosy area that guests love! The stairs up to the sleeping area are slightly narrower and steeper than a normal flight of stairs. This is not an issue for most guest but may not be suitable for more elderly guests or ones with limited mobility. Guest access: You will have the whole flat to yourself. Interaction with guests: I live close by, so I'm always on hand to help with any issues or offer guidance on your stay in London. The neighbourhood: The flat is on Albert Bridge Road and is just a 1 minute walk to the gates of Battersea Park, one of London's most beautiful parks. Just over the bridge is Chelsea with all the shops and restaurants of the King's Road, Sloane Square and Fulham Road. There are also some great pubs just seconds away: The Lighthouse, Lost & Co and The Northcote. The nearest tube is South Kensington or Sloane Square. The 49 bus goes direct to South Kensington every 8 minutes and takes 16 minutes - the bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the flat. Or of course you could cycle - there is a Santander cycle hire station just seconds from the front door. All the tube and train stations have bike hire stations very close to them. The nearest train stations are Battersea Park (5 minute by bus / 15 minute walk) which gets you to Victoria in 5 minutes or Queenstown Road (6 minute by bus / 16 minute walk) which get you into Waterloo in 10 minutes. There is a great site and free app called Citymapper which will give you every possible combination of transport around London. Type in SW114PX for the location of the flat. Getting from Heathrow Airport: There are a few ways to get to the flat from Heathrow. The easiest and quickest way is to get an Uber taxi if you have the app. It should take no more than 50 mins and cost about £35/40. Second option would be the Heathrow express train to Paddington Station (£25 one way, £22 off peak, £37 return). Here you then have to change to the underground (circle line, yellow line) to South Kensington Station and then get a bus (no.49 or 345) or taxi to the flat. The cheapest option is the underground all the way from Heathrow on the Piccadilly Line to South Kensington, followed by bus (no.49 or 345). Getting from Gatwick Airport: Take the train to Clapham Junction (do not take the Gatwick Express as this only stops at Victoria, not Clapham Junction). From Clapham Junction take a bus (6 minutes) or taxi to the flat. Getting to Wimbledon Tennis: The quickest is to walk/cycle/bus to Battersea Park train station and get a train to Wimbledon station (there is one change at Clapham Junction) which only takes 20 mins. Or you can get the District Line tube from South Kensington to Southfields. Parking: Parking In London is difficult and expensive and I would advise you don't bring a car if you can help it. Parking outside on the outside the flat is free in the evenings (5pm - 9am) and all day at weekends. During the day there is metered parking currently at £2.60 an hour with a maximum stay of 4 hours. I can also provide daily parking permits for £20. These must be requested in advance and payable in cash during your stay. Other things to note: There is a small convenience store just round the corner to buy essentials and a larger Tesco supermarket a 10 minute walk away. Nespresso coffee pods and teas are supplied.

      A Great Return Stay

I really enjoyed returning to this lovely place, it got better on my return and I really liked the nice touch in the bathroom. It is a great place to see London and do some exploring and Oliver was great with all the instructions and communication, hope to return soon again.

Cute place, Great Location, not for everyone...

Oliver was very helpful and solicitous, and the place was so cute - loved the decor. The location was fabulous as well. The stairs to the sleeping loft are very steep and once up there, it's not for people with any kind of claustrophobia! It wouldn't be suitable for older people for sure, which Oliver mentions in his description. Overall again, it's very pleasant, just understand that the loft is perhaps 4 feet at its tallest, so there is no standing, just crawling. The bed was comfy though and the skylight up there was really good.

          Great stay

It’s a very nice little flat. Very clean, good quality finish, towels and linen. We enjoyed our one day stay and may return again

            Weekend Stay in Battersea

Very enjoyable experience, we stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend for my Birthday. The owner was very communicative and helpful with his clear instructions and the apartment was very well decorated and looked after. Although small in size it had everything you would need and it was perfect for the 2 of us. Easy location to get to and from on public transport and a nice quiet street. We would definitely recommend this property and we would stay there again.

              Pretty little studio

Delightful, well located studio. Exactly like the advert, so pleased I booked it. Oliver was kind and helpful. Close to everything, very accessible.
