Check your reservation more than once!

Posted 23-Sep-2016
Pros: Perfect location - so close to the National Gallery, Covent Garden, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, and the tube just down the road.
Cons: More washing machines and dryers - only one of each functioning during our stay so it took multiple trips to the laundry to check if they were free!
Location: As above, location was perfect.
My main issue with our stay is that we booked a 2-bedroom apartment and I e-mailed three weeks before our stay to confirm our reservation and it was confirmed by staff at the hotel. Then, when we arrived, we were told that Expedia had overbooked for the night so we could not have the 2-bedroom apartment after all. Having just flown from Australia and with 3 exhausted children, this was far from ideal! After politely making my feelings known and suggesting that they could find us accommodation elsewhere, they did finally manage to arrange for us to have a 1-bedroom apartment for the first night and then a 2-bedroom apartment for the rest of our stay, with free breakfast thrown in for the whole stay. The man on the desk was really helpful and it was a good compromise, but I would warn other travellers to check and double-check that you definitely have a room if you book through Expedia!

Dear Justine, Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback score and comments. It was I who dealt with your check in issues and I am happy to read that you found me helpful and accepted our gesture of goodwill. I apologise that only 1 washing machine was available. We are aware and have recently purchased more machines which will be installed shortly. I do hope you will give us another opportunity in welcoming you back in the near future. Great location and size of rooms was wonderful.

Cons: Air conditioning for upstairs bedrooms.

Very nice apartment hotel comfortable beds and lots of room. Only problem we had was upstairs air conditioning didn't cool the rooms and London was experiencing unusually hot weather so it was somewhat uncomfortable at times. Downstairs was very cool, windows don't open which I don't like. The best thing was the location at Trafalgar square and just few blocks to the Thames. Eat at the Sherlock Holmes Pub just a few yards away. i had the Sunday roast dinner it was great.

Excellent location and wonderful flat!

Posted 21-Sep-2016
I'm almost hesitant to share my experience because I want to keep this hidden gem to myself! The location is only a street from Trafalgar Square and in walking distance to everything. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was wonderful and the bathroom was great with great water pressure. We were so happy here and can't wait to return.

Nice apartment hotel near museums

Posted 20-Sep-2016
Pros: The staff was very helpful and polite, rooms were clean and spacious with modern amenities. The location was very central to most attractions.
Cons: The energy saving lights were very dim, and my friends and I found the place dark at times and hard to find things in.
Location: The location is very central. It's within walking distance of a convenience store for groceries, pubs, restaurants, museums, and the theater district.
My stay at Citadines was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Having a concierge was very useful, as it was my first time in London. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had modern amenities and the WiFi was easy to access. Another plus is that they have laundry machines on site. This service could set you back about 20 pounds sterling, but it's still cheaper than having something dry cleaned at a hotel. The location was very convenient, being close to a convenience store, cafes, and pubs. Short walking distance to St. Martin in the Fields, National Portrait Gallery, Trafalgar Square, and not too far a jaunt from Covent Garden, where there are many restaurants and pubs. Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament are more of a stretch, but also within walking distance.

At any time our guests do find them to low we can alter the lighting by adding additional lamps or higher wattage light bulbs. Location is great!

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: location
Cons: wifi and lighting in the room
Hotel is located near anything you need and near transportation of all sorts. Quiet street but near the high traffic areas. Room was very clean and comfortable bed. Not great lighting in the rooms and the A/C was not as cool as I like but it was very warm outside. Enjoyed the free coffee, did not spend 12 pounds for their breakfast when there are very close cafes much cheaper and better. WiFi worked great in the room but not in the lobby. Would stay again!

Great location, room a bit grimy

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: Location cannot be better.
Cons: Bathroom in double room needs an exhaust fan. Walls were sweating due to humidity.
Location: Near Trafalgar Square and Golden Jubilee Bridge. Can walk to anywhere. Lots to see, eat and do.
Stayed first 2 nights in 1-room aparthotel. Floor a bit grimy. Bathroom needs exhaust fan badly. Toilet is fine but needs proper sink. Heating towel rack an excellent idea.

Good location

Posted 15-Sep-2016
The hotel was handily located close to Trafalgar Square. The room allocated to us had ducting outside and was dark. We had to wait 2 hours for an alternative which was a normal sized hotel room with a kitchen area on the side of the room. Unimpressed for the price we paid. Overall ok but NOT value for money.
