Good basic hotel

Posted 15-Nov-2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Size of bedroom (425) is small!
Location: Mayfair - you can figure out the rest!
Bedroom quite small, but very clean and excellent staff on reception. It's mayfair, so pricey for what you get, but it's a reasonable 4* hotel in any case. Bar is to be avoided (e.g. £4 bottle coke), but again staff exceptionally nice. Not sure if it's worth a higher price than others in the Picc area, so look around and if you get a good price, stay here. We were happy with our stay.

Old world style in the heart of Mayfair

Posted 18-Jul-2015 on Wotif
Pros: The genuine, friendly and helpful service
Cons: De-clutter the rooms. They are small and hard to move around with the non-essential furniture and decoration.
Location: Great location - right near Shepherds Market.
This is a lovely, old style hotel with fantastic service. We only stayed for one evening and didn't eat in the restaurant, so can't give a full review, but our experience was excellent. The staff made the stay - nothing was too much trouble and most things were anticipated. The room was fine, but on the small side.

My stay at the Chesterfield 2012

Posted 07-Sep-2012
I enjoyed my short stay at the hotel. It probably does not have all the gizmos of larger establishments but it does have peace, efficiency and an air of quality. The single room I occupied was on the small side but planned exceptionally well. As a fellow lodger stated to me when I mentioned this what do you expect when it is owned by a woman. Whether this is the case I do not know. However I would recommend highly and also it is exceptionally convenient to central London

Our home in london

Posted 06-May-2012
This is a great value for London, personal service and beautiful rooms at a not exhorbitant price. I find the more traditional rooms much more attractive than the rooms with modern decor. Breakfast outstanding.
