The place is very convenient for going around London. Bus stops, Paddington station is just, a few steps from the hotel. Traveling with 3 friends, the room is a bit tiny and no space for luggages, but this is London, so no surprise there. I would use this hotel again.

I stayed in room 9 on the top floor and every time someone had a shower the pipes made a horrendous noise I was woken up both nights of my stay at 03.00am and 00.45am this was totally unacceptable and needs to be addressed

The Athena is very convenient, it’s an easy walk from Paddington, which is served by the Heathrow express. The hotel is clean, the staff super helpful and it’s a surprisingly quiet place to stay with easy access to the rest of London via Paddington underground, buses or on foot.

This was a wonderful hotel in a convenient location for getting around. Very close to Paddington and other underground stops. The staff was very helpful and the room was nice and clean.

We had a great stay. The location was perfect as it provided us with easy access to transit and to Hyde Park. We love to walk and this location was perfect. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel breakfast was tasty and filling. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Great welcome and checkin experience. All the staff i met were friendly and helpful. Very clean room and excellent shower. Breakfast was fine and good value - fresh toast and porridge, fruit, continental choice and boiled eggs. Very convenient for Paddington station Will definitely stay again.

The rooms are small but very clean. Good area, safe and amazing customer service. They help us leave our luggage before our check-in time. The front desk is 24 hours. I will recommend this place.♥️♥️

First day hot water wasn’t working. No fault of theirs, things happen. Staff was very nice. Room typically tiny and little storage so we were tripping over our bags and each other. But if you need to stay near Paddington for ease of getting to or from the airport, this is an excellent place at a reasonable price.

The staff were so kind at this property. They let us store our luggage before we checked in. They helped us determine the best route to take to get around London. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Great stay, clean. Close to paddington station. Only negative point: no working fan in the bathroom and a shelf in the shower would be great to put toilettries, also a hook to put robe or clothings.

There was an eggshell in the toilet, and bits of eggshell on the bathroom floor. No idea what that was about. The room is tiny and the light from the hallway shines through the gap in the door all night. The staff walked around shouting during the daytime which isn't very restful if, like me, you booked a room to have somewhere to try and sleep after a big night out. The shower is amazing - hot, high water pressure - all the things you don't normally get in a hotel.

Property is conveniently located for anything you desire to do in and around London. It is three blocks from Paddington station which is a gateway to wherever you want to travel. The staff and a superb and helpful. The neighborhood, around the hotel has everything you need: restaurants, pubs, grocery stores, souvenir shops. Rooms may be on the small side however you are here to sightsee not move in. I will recommend this hotel to anyone. It is located on a busy street so if you are sensitive to noise while sleeping you have to take this into consideration.

The staff was very nice and friendly, but unfortunately our room was very loud. We could hear street noise and sirens all night, plus we could hear the doors from other rooms slamming. After housekeeping came to service our room, we found a random black sock on my daughter’s bed. The immediate area around the hotel was fine, but a few blocks down seemed sketchy after dark and smelled strongly of marijuana.

The staff are friendly and kind! We were able to leave our luggages after check out time and retrieve them in the afternoon which was really convenient. The room was clean and well appointed. Also clean and white towels were changed daily which was a plus. The only negative is the bed, new mattresses are definitely needed. One more thing: It’s a close walk to the Paddington train station, subway and/or underground.

We stayed for 3 days 2 nights and it was an amazing experience. Annie the receptionist was very aupportive. Very courteous and gave us all the relevant information that we needed as first time visitor of UK. She laid out and marked all the tourist spots. The hotel is only 5 min walk to Paddington Station. Lots of public transportation. Our room was super cozy and clean (no carpet which was superb) quiet and very relaxing. The breakfast staff too especially Eva and the other staff from the kitchen and the guy too from the night duty recptionist was very accomodating. Highly recommended. Small but cozy and quiet property. Super clean too. Breakfast is served English style very classy. We will come back and book this hotel again. Thanks again to Annie and Eva!!

Conveniently located by Paddington station, which has trains to take you to Heathrow airport and is close to Notting Hill, Hyde Park, and Kensington. The staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful during our stay with luggage storage, suggestions of where to go in the area, etc. The offer to store our luggage was very helpful so we could grab breakfast in the morning, and when we checked in, the staff had already moved our luggage into the room. One of the beds had dirty sheets and pillowcases when we arrived, but once I alerted the staff, they apologised and resolved the issue right away.

It's a no-frills budget property, which is fine. Just know that's what you're getting. But the staff was nice, and the location, near Paddington and Hyde Park, is unbeatable.

Clean, comfortable, top location!
Basic but great hotel in central London. Clean, no stairs, friendly employees. Comfortable bed and wonderful night’s sleep. Minutes walk from Paddington. Plenty of nearby eateries and whatever else you need. I would definitely stay here again!
