Pros: Everything good. No negatives.
Cons: Not much. All was very good. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Location: Easy access to palace, national gallery, national theatre-subway next door to access further locales. Great location.
We visited London for 4 days and the Amba hotel will be my go to hotel in the future. Comfortable room, easy registration and departure. Very helpful staff and absolutely great location.

Amba hotel Charing Cross:Best hotel in London

Posted 29-Sep-2016
Pros: The amenities such as included full English breakfast, and Amba lounge. The amazing staff!
Cons: Nothing.
Location: The location is right near Trafalgar square and Charing Cross station. Excellent location for everything; were able to walk almost everywhere.
This was our third trip to London and our first time staying at the Amba Hotel Charing Cross. My husband and I stayed for 8 days, 7 nights. It is truly an exceptional hotel; lovely rooms, perfect location, wonderful amenities etc. I can't say enough about the staff of this hotel. They were exceptionally efficient, friendly and consistently exceeded expectations. For example, without us asking, they assisted us with transport to the airport when they noticed that our driver had not arrived timely. They called the company several times and stood outside the hotel to wait for the driver . Niels was especially helpful and is a complete gem; always ready to assist with great kindness and efficiency. The other concierge staff were also amazing and made our stay memorable. We have stayed at many hotels around the world, but this hotel has it all--facilities, location, amenities and the best staff in the world. Thank you, Amba hotel Charing Cross.

Wonderful Hotel and Centrally Located.

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Location: Loads of local dining establishments around. Several pubs, Starbucks across the street, Burritos down the way and Pizza Express across the street.
From the start the hotel staff couldn't do enough for you. They where super friendly and wanted to make sure your stay was pleasing. They greeted us every time we came into the hotel and told us to "have a great day" every time we left. You could see Big Ben from our hotel window (we where on the sixth floor - executive room) HIGHLY recommend an executive room just for the extras of Included Breakfast, Nespresso machine, and free mini bar. Walking distance to Big Ben and West Minster Abbey. 3 Tube stations and since Charring Cross is a major hub a station right next to the hotel. If I had one complaint that would have to be it. A lot of people loitering next to the hotel because it was a major hub. The only other issue we experienced was on the second day there the second lift in the hotel went out and was never back in service the rest of our stay. Made getting to our room a longer process but that was manageable. Over all I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, centrally located stay in London.

Great Location

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Pros: Location, friendly staff, excellent restaurant, nice rooms.
Location: Access to many of the important sites in London and the theater district is just minutes away. And the staff booked theater tickets for us.
The staff here is wonderful! Incredibly helpful and willing to please! And you can't beat the location. Access to many of the important sites in London and the theater district is just minutes away. And being close to Charing Cross station means that it is easy access to and from Heathrow. I highly recommend this hotel!

Perfect London stay

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Pros: Everything
Clean, friendly staff, perfect location. We walked to St. Paul's, Piccadilly, Big Ben, Buckingham palace. The tube is next to hotel. We are walkers, just saying :) the staff left us a bottle of champagne and chocolate for our 30th anniversary, but the kind note was really special. Thanks Amba!

Perfect central location

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Pros: Location, staff, comfortable rooms and up-to-date bathrooms
Cons: Faster elevators
Location: National Gallery, Natioanl Portrait Gallery, Covent Garden, Rule;s, Simpson's, Summerset House, Chandos pub
Perfect central location for Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery and Covent Garden. I've stayed here for years, and love the place. This year there was some confusion about my reservation, but staff were extremely helpful and friendly and took care of it quickly.

Hotel in the Heart of the City of London

Posted 13-Sep-2016
Pros: We liked everything but it was the concierge, Vinnie, who was the best. She helped us with last minute rez for dinner and so much more.
Cons: The wifi was OK and probably better than most U.S. Hotels. The room needs a dresser with drawers for persons like us who are staying several days.
Location: Hotel is 1 block from Trafalgar Square. Three subway stops within 1 block of the hotel. Restaurants and pubs nearby. Starbucks across the street.
From the moment we walked thru the door, we were treated like royalty, which was great since we were there for 8 days. We requested a king size bed and got so much more. A nice sized, quiet room with big fluffy robes and slippers, huge towels, toiletries, USB ports around the room, coffee and maker, tea and water pot, refrigerator refilled daily with beverages, cookies and chocolate too. Our room face a small street off The Strand but was very quiet, tho there was a bit of revelry to be heard outside on Saturday night. It wasn't bad enough to bother us. We were just surprised to finally hear noise after the quiet of several days.
