It's a five star venue. The staff were among the friendliest I have ever encountered. The property was impressive, combined with the marriot facilities next door I would say that the overall experience was good.
There were however some serious downsides surrounding the children, and the facilities they had on offer.
The children's playground was in need of serious remedy. The surface of the entire playground needed to be removed and replaced - as the rubber flooring has cracked and begun to lift. This was clearly not a new problem, one guest told us it had been like this in June 2018. It is a serious trip hazard.
The childrens playground had other problems, such as a screw protruding through the rope climbing area.
In the evening the entertainment for the kids lasted 15 minutes with a mini disco. Part of this repetitive event involved the kids running around the hotel lobby to the song superman. Little kids, between 3 and 6, in a group sprinting past multiple sharp objects which could easily harm them quite seriously. Such as large squared glass tables - it's was less than well thought out and at times a bit frightening.
Also shocked to see that they thought it would be wise to locate the little kiddies splash Park right next to the deepest end of the swimming pool - at 2.45 meters deep. There is no barrier or safety guard.
Worst part overall was the fact there really wasn't much for the kids to do. It was simply a but boring after 3 or 4 days.
